    Happy lunchtime, ladies :hello:

    Last night I finished:

Rock N Rose Body Lotion-WIBA? Yes, it was quite good for a marqued body lotion. I wouldn't buy much of it mind, too expensive and I wouldn't use it often but for an occasional treat, yes :)
The other day I was talking about perfume with a colleague and I said I was not allowed to buy any, even though there were some great (50% off!) deals on as I had about 15 bottles I'm trying to use up. My colleague was amazed, he said most people have one, then when it's finished, they buy another one. Really?!?

That's just weird! Maybe people did that in 1950, but not now, surely  I do want to use up my perfumes and diminish my stock, but I can't see myself ever having less than 3 or 4 on the go at one time - I like some variety, and can't imagine wearing something heavy in the summer, or floral in the winter, for example. I suppose there are some 'signature scent' people out there, and its different for them?
I was very much like that - had an Obsession obsession (lol) for about 20 years and would not wear nor try anything else. I liked the idea that it was 'my' scent, that anyone could tell it was me whenever they smelled it. It also made it easier for others to buy me gifts, even though it was more expensive than body sprays for instance, choosing a scent was a no-brainer and I was always very happy to receive some :D

I do like the variety I possess now, spraying according to mood. Obsession is still my number one fave, but I'm enjoying the many ways I can smell lush and lovely :A

I think your colleague talks pants! :D I only ever used to wear Opium or Cinnabar in my teens and twenties, but as I got older I started to try more scents and now I have about six or seven perfumes that I wear for different occasions. I would imagine most women would have more than one perfume?
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

No way - your colleague is wrong. I'd say 99% of the people I know have a few perfumes on the go, this includes the men (aftershave in their case). Though it maybe the case that all the people I know are shopaholics :o

I usually have 2 or 3 in use, though at the moment I only have one - only because of this challenge.

I've got 4 perfumes, though I only use one regularly - I love it! I have another that's discontinued, which is my fave, so I'm deliberately using my stock up as slowly as possible :( I think it's a really summery scent anyway, so I don't use it in winter.

This weekend I've managed to use up another No7 P&P sample, a virtually everlasting deodorant (now onto one of my free Dove ones :)), a lush facemask, and a sample of Clinique moisturiser.

Only thing I would buy again is the lush facemask - it was "A Crash course in Skincare", and smelled so lovely I never wanted to take it off my face :rotfl:
I won't be buying it for a while though, as I have loads of other facemasks to use up first :p

There are a few other things which I think will run out this week... Feb overall has been a pretty good month - I think I've only spent 99p (will have to go back and check!), but I do think my stash has actually grown, as I've got so many freebies from beauty counters and relatives. I also picked up my free Dermalogica skincare set from the postoffice yesterday, which I got with my Glamour subscription...

It's been educational in how much less I can spend on toiletries, and how many offers are out there - even when I've got through my stash and am down to just my favourites, I'm optimistic that I can still get good deals through smart shopping - which is the overall purpose of this site I guess :T

    I have over 20! :o
To be fair, lots were gifts, and scents I would probably never choose myself. I generally rotate 3 at a time. I really should give some away as there are definitely some in the stash I'll never wear. I have 2 Burberry perfumes that I've never even smelled but just know I won't wear. The whole Burberry thing is just really offputting to me :(
I bet they smell lovely too :(

Also @ lin.c. I too was obsessed with Obsession! I haven't had any for years now though, but I get all nostalgic when I smell it. Beautiful scent :)

I love hearing what perfumes people have and what are their favourites... anyone else willing to share?

    I have:
    • DKNY Be Delicious - my usual one, wear it loads!
    • DKNY Women - quite old, used to be my staple, but been replaced by Be Delicious :)
    • CK Contradiction - I'd forgotten I had this! Really old.
    • Les Belles de Ricci (oroginal) - my absolute fave, but discontinued :(
    • Cerrutti 1881 - gift. Originally wasn't keen on it, but it grew on me, now I do like it occasionally for something a bit different.

I hate getting perfumes as gifts, as if it's something I already have and like, I'll buy it for myself anyway. If it's something I don't have, there's no guarantee I'll like it, or how it will smell on me - perfumes change a LOT on my skin, moreso than most people (my mum is the same), and I don't want to end up with lots of unusable bottles.

Personally, I aim to have two on the go at once: one for everyday, and one for best. However, people keep buying me them so I have LOADS of bottles which need to be used, but I still try to use them one-at-a-time so that I don't have too many cluttering up the place. There's quite a queue!

    Go on then...;)

Aramis New West - wear most days, was discontinued for years but Perfume Shop brought it back a few years ago. delish - smells like melon, current fave :)

DKNY Women- wore for years, going off it a bit.

JLo Glow - reminds me of bubble baths when I was wee, used to be my every day one when new West wasn't available

L.A.M.B Gwen Stefani - nearly done, had loads of compliments, will def make this a regular.

Britney Spears Curious - gift from DD, it's actually nice, think she bought it to steal off me.

    Burberry Brit - unopened gift

Ghost Deep Night - boring, nothing to write home about

Tommy Girl - LOVE this. Always have, always will :)

Eau de Soap & Glory - just because....

212 sexy - love on other people, smells odd on me :(

Benefit Maybe Baby - used to love, but strangely had it on a night when I became quite ill and now can't go near it. LAMB smells very similar, so using that as alternative.

Armani Diamonds - gift from MIL at Christmas, unopened, don't even know what it's like? Anyone?

Valentino Rock n Dreams - see above but from SIL.

Burberry Weekend - unopened gift, packaging puts me off!

True Star - nice, good for daywear but the bottle's only been 1/4 used in over a year....

LouLou - horrid, hate it, been in the bathroom for about 10 years :(

Angel Innocent - wore to death, now makes me feel a bit sick :(

EA Sunflowers - another fave but rarely wear. reminds me of some amazing foreign holidays :)

CKOne - another fave from the past, packed with good memories.....

There are about 8 or 9 generic perfumes from sets in the bathroom cupboard too, but these are the ones that come to mind.
I think I should really give some away, none are close to finishing.
