Hiya lin.c No have been here since the last thread in Jan.....to the extent that using up my stuff has become such a habit I'm not always aware that it seems odd to others.
yesterday my line manager asked if I was OK. I was seen in the week using some face wipes to clean my desk. I did not want to bin them and I don't like them on my face so thought I'd take them to work no one wanted them so thought that they would be useful for cleaning my work area:D
Later was seen listing the hand creams in my draw (4) all part used, then talking to myself about a stash and what one will be finished soonest.:D:D:D
I think she was concerned that work pressure was getting to me. I was soooo embarrassed trying to explain my actions. At the end we were talking 'bout her stash and the things we like and want to try. Hate to admit it but she is such an amateur.0 -
Thats a really good point and I think what people have overspent on has still probably been thought of a bit more carefully.
Now thats true. despite having spent on the blushers and lipstick, they were wanted and sensible. Ironiclly, I haven't bought the cheap green barry M eyeshadow yet, because technically I don't need it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I've also decided to buy and epilator tomorrow. I still have the disposable razors to use up, BUT, I figure it will take a while to get used to the epilation anyway, so better to do it with a crossover period, and if I take to it well on legs, I'm not sure underarms/bikini like are going to be done anytime soon....:o0 -
Sorry Sorry got distracted, what I meant to say is that this thread goes so fast that I spend most time reading and catching up than posting:D
Must say I love my epilator and would not go back to the old bick
for any first time user I would advise keeping your skin tight and then it just tingles0 -
Ok well a major wagon slip today
Went into town with intentions of buying some deodorant. Bought two deodorants (BOGOF) two palmer's cocoa butter (BOGOHP), two Sally Hansen nail hardeners (BOGOHP) and also bio oil (although used Boots points for that). This is on top of 2x£10 Body Shop orders (see grabbit page, it's a great deal) although some of those will do as gifts. Anyway a total of £40 spent
off to put myself on the naughty step.
It is definitely comfort shopping though, DH is away this weekend and I'm off sweets for lent. What else is left?well I guess that's my excuse anyway.

Slipped up today
Bought some Johnson's Holiday Skin (although it was only 99p in Home Bargains).
I have a 60th birthday party to attend next week and the dress I'm wearing requires legs of at least a semi-human colour. Right now they are a rather putrid shade of West of Scotlandesque blue/greywhich will do nothing for the cream vintage lace number I've picked out. I usually hide away in 100 denier black tights at this time of year so I'm hoping my epilator combined with Holiday Skin will help my legs look semi-decent!
Not a bad slip, spent about 15 times as much on chocolate and wine!!Come ride with me, through the veins of history...
I'll show you how God falls asleep on the job.

I could have sent you some.. Its going off to my niece on tuesday now.
she's not going to need any tanning products till she's my age....(half a dozen bottles I've used once or twice).
BT, I'm I the only person who manages to streak using gradual tanners? I'm pale, but seriously, I thought these things were meant to be subtle!0 -
lol, not at all - I gave up using it cos I streaked (wiht the Dove one AND the Johnsons one!)
well - I think I did ok in boots today - I came out having conversed with a girl on the Benefits stand - with the oil and soap free cleanser, and their moisturising creme ( Dear John I think thats called??) which she put on my hand, and didnt feel like I was wearing anything at all, which I like - my problem (other than an oily T zone) is that most moisturisers feel really heavy on my face, and make me feel greasier than I actually am.... she also gave me a sample pot of their exfoliator (told her that I still had a facial scrub so didnt need that yet (go me !!!!) to try as well - will use that when I go in the bath in a minute, cos she said you can use it as a masque as well....
we shall see !!!
well done everyone - here to Mudpackless March !!!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -

Awww your bad and I'm quoting you incase anyone misses it!!!!! :rotfl:
But seriously never mind, it's done now and next month you'll be able to get those GHD's you want :T Theres loads of stuff I'd love but somehow never quite get enough money together. This month is pretty hard for me because I've actually saved enough money for my leather jacket... just need a fiver!!! Now the dog needs an op and he's obviously my priority so I've kissed the jacket goodbye and I'm hoping to claim on his insurance policy and maybe get the jacket next month.
Maybe get yourself a tin or pot to put your pennies in when you get tempted by something nice? I bet you're buying those GHD's before you know itIt's always easier when you've got a goal. My new plan is to go and look at what I've got that I haven't used, it usually puts a stop to me buying something I think I want.
Thanks for this, you are right and it's made me feel a lot better, I will get a nice tin to put some pennies in - I can't wait to get some ghds! I hope your dog is better soon and gets thourghly spoilt! I hope you get your jacket soon toomineallmine wrote: »Hia, sorry to hear about those who've overspent. In fairness, you've probably not spent as much as you normally do. I haven't used anything up, reaching a bit of a stalemate! Need to have a bath in a sec, and so do a bit of pampering.
I need:
- face scrub
Definitely do not need:
- moisturiser
- eye cream
- body lotion
This is true, I certainly haven't spent as much as usual nor have I spent on utter, hyped up junk!lostinrates wrote: »I could have sent you some.. Its going off to my niece on tuesday now.

I streak too! Gradual? Pah! I'm pretty sure a bottle of the johnson's stuff has fallen down the back of the drawers - will have to search when the top is a bit clearer. But for now, it's out of sight, out of mind:rotfl:
Have used up a Body Shop Indian Gardenia body cream today - smells nice but unfortunately not made any more - the label says 2003 :rotfl:I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
Since last post I have used up, toothpaste, 1 tube of handcream, 1 small body butter, 1 shower gel and pack of face wipes.
But I had a Virgin vie party and spent £45:o I have some lovely things though and got £100 of stuff free as my friends all have too much money!
One thing though was a gift set for my mil for mothers day so that was about £15.
I also used a boots £5 no 7 voucher on my mils fave shower gel to put in present drawer for her birthday so have spent £3 on that too. Oh well
I have 1 shower gel and 1 handcream with about one more use each in them so am off to use those now!
Will try harder in March:rotfl:Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0
