Just about every product I am using looks empty, but keeps going on and on and on anyway. It is as if someone is refilling them in the night :rotfl:

Forgive me MSE for I have sinned again! Not by much though.

I was in Sainsbury's looking for frozen chicken which again they didn't have in because they have fresh packs on promotion which are dearer than the frozen so no help to me! Got one of those hopeless if it's not in the freezer we don't have it in stock replies from the SA wh clearly was not ******. Turning from the freezers I had to walk past the cosmetics stand and as I don't have a bright red nail lacquer and have been feeling the need for one bought one. In my defence though it's a Maybelline one so a lot cheaper than OPI and Leighton Denny that I usually buy (hope it's good!). I then went down the skincare aisle and started looking at all the magic serums because I'd seen a Gatineau one on QVC this morning which looked like it would make me look 20 years younger (if the World was looking at me with beer goggles on!). Anyway at this point MrM phoned me and talked me out of buying it. I did however buy a tube of Biore warming blackhead fighting cream wash which was reduced. I do in all honesty have some very persistent whiteheads and a blackhead on my right cheek which are not going for love nor money so feel I'm justified in buying this but why the nail lacquer??

OK, I'll do my lines now:-

I will not buy nail lacquer just because I'm throwing a hissy fit as there's no frozen chicken.

Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Wipes don't cleanse your skin properly especially if you wear a lot of make up. They are handy if you are away from home and I have a pack by the bed as they are better than not taking the make-up off at all but you should use a proper cleanser most of the time.

Do you mean a cream cleanser which apply and take off with cotton wool? Do I need toner too? (Thanks btw!)

I think Mags meant any sort of cleanser - foaming, wash off, creamy etc. Amd I agree with her. Wipes are no good for me, I only use them when there is NO alternative (e.g. festivals). Some people also find them handy for taking off makeup when drunk. :D

I feel exactly the same. I don't trust wipes. I don't like them except when I'm traveling for freshening up en route.

I use oil cleanse method, which works well for me, but if I didn't I'd use a cleanser. For me actual water is an important part of cleansing, for the soul as much as the face, but the warm water to relax, the cold water to freshen.

Thanks, I like using a washing slightly exfoliating one in the morning (Clean Mary atm) but I use that in the shower but would prefer a creamy cleanser in the evening I think, maybe I'll try Simple as I like the eye make up remover and I've had problems with other eye make up removers so maybe a Simple cleanser would be good.
