Just about every product I am using looks empty, but keeps going on and on and on anyway. It is as if someone is refilling them in the night :rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl:Agreed!
I went to Bodycare and was soooo tempted by stuff. I needed shampoo and conditioner - was going to treat myself to S&G at Boots but mumsy pointed out a hair treatment that she used to sell in the chemist and it was really popular apparentely... huge tub for 99p so I got that instead. Then got it home and realised the little tab for opening it has broken off so I have no idea how I'm going to open it!

    Off to catch up now...

Snipped... oooh what was this? Sounds good! (and cheap!)

Managed to mess up again :( Got carried away and ordered the polynesian spa gift set from the body shop :( I HATE THE BODY SHOP AND THEIR TOO GOOD £5 OFF VOUCHER!!!!!!!!! It was only £10 though? Reduced from £30.50. I think I'll probably succumb before the end of feb to get another £5 off too :(. Also bought another 'Into Glamour' impulse spray too :(

Anyway :D Used up a Avon conditioning balm as a conditioner today - seemed to be good and my hair is very shiny and soft at the moment but that could be the conditioner, the mineral shampoo, the blow dry spray or the finishing mist :rotfl:. Also finished off a really, really ancient Avon Naturals strawberries and cream body cream, smelt okay I suppose!

I'm having some problems with the time delay eye cream, it seems to make the skin under my eyes sting? Think my favourite so far is the Lush one (managed to drop that down the loo :() but it's big bottle with a not so big use by date.

It's in a huge old fashioned looking white tub called 'Natural classics henna treatment wax - original formula hair treatment'. She worked in a chemist and said people were always backordering it (this was in the 80s-early 90s) and it used to sell it for £10 back then?! I'm going to try it tomorrow providing I can get the bl**dy thing open  and will report back with my findings.

TSKKKKK at you for your spends. That £5 off voucher seems to be tempting a lot of us... me included but I am not going to get sucked in (again).
    =====================
Forgot to say in my first post, I was in Debenhams spraying all the perfumes today. I have fallen in love with a perfume - Paco Rabanne Black XS. Lovely smell, a bit like sherbet dibdabs... think I'll start dropping hints about what I want for Easter instead of chocolate :D
  • Hi ladies, not much to report today, finished some Calvin Klein Secret Obsession perfume Wiba, depends really on a number of things, its really lovely and my sort of fragrance ie oriental/ musky/ floral but it didnt last too long on the skin despite being EDP, but having said that, its often on double offers etc ie i bought this one when it was reduced plus £5 moc plus got a gwp :D, so it made it seem even better. So in conclusion i reckon if im flush with cash no, id go for coco chanel instead, if im a bit tight with old moola , yes its great value and i do like it. Have now started on Magnifique by Lancome as well as the mtching body lotion and it is divine, very sophisticated. It goes well with my shower scrub ans shower gel FCUK ltd edition, which are both lovely and im so annoyed that you can no longer buy this at boots, i only have 2 bottles of the scrub, gel and spray left, also wish id bought the body butter/ cream when i had the chance:(.
Anyhow, tara well done on the weight loss, i too am trying to loose weight, trying being the Non operative word:D. I cannot resist my own cooking:p.
Well gotta go get some r&r now as had terrible sleep last night.

Kisses to you all even the hairy ones:rotfl:

    Nab

    xx
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)
  • Oh trust me, DH's back being waxed leaves him plenty hairy. I've always liked a little hair, not smooth, but dh is turning into one of those wolf people.

True story: before DH I was never that cuddley in my sleep, I like my own space, but with DH I hug him all night. On working out why this is I think its because he feels a bit like my parents' breed of dog, which I have always cuddled in bed. :o

This made me literally Laugh Out Loud!
32? is that the one that you spray and any man is sure to chase you up the street trying to give you a bunch of flowers? That advert may be before your time:)

LOL - oh dear - just how tacky were those ads!!

I think Mags meant any sort of cleanser - foaming, wash off, creamy etc. Amd I agree with her. Wipes are no good for me, I only use them when there is NO alternative (e.g. festivals). Some people also find them handy for taking off makeup when drunk. :D

I use a wash off cleanser, so to save me staining my face flannel with makeup I use a cheap wipe first, take the worst off with that, then use my usual cleanser.

Tara - well done on the weight loss! :T:T:T

I found the same occasionally when I startted using it, but not anymore. That's why I'm not sure about it - I remember occasional stinging, but then I think it might work. But I'm not sure if it does, I'm useless at trying to work it out :rotfl:

But I don't have any other eye creams at the moment, and don't want to buy more, so I keep using it.

Definitely no stinging now though, but maybe I just got used to it.

thanks for that, think I'll persevere with it for a bit longer before I start another one

    Evening all :)

    Today used up:

Nivea Pearl Spray Deodorant (trial size)-WIBA? It smelled nice and was quite effective, but I'm a die-hard stick deo girl, so, no.

How do you all get so many samples of stuff? From mags? I never buy them because I never have time to read them properly :o

I get mine from beauty counters usually. :o
This reminds me of the film 'Friends With Money' when the Jennifer Aniston character drives all over LA getting free samples of an expensive facial moisturiser from all the major department stores :D

Come to think of it, there's another scene where she becomes so disillusioned with her life that she ends up stealing a full-size tube from one of her clients (she cleans houses) and ends up using that on her feet which reminds me of some of the creative ways some of us have used up our products (not implying any of us are disillusioned, of course!)
  • Ladies, rejoice with me for I have killed off three products tonight including the 'orrible shampoo and the even more 'orrible body milk stuff! :j

    So: The verdicts:

Boots Expert eye makeup remover pads - about 60 of these in the pot - so a months worth basically - and they are really effective. A bargain price too as they sell for about £2.99 but there is often a special offer on.WIBA? yes - definitely, but not for a while as I have two sample sized Clinique Take The Day off to use first. :D

Naked Shine Unveiled Shampoo - WIBA? Not on your life! I have another bottle of it in the stash but to be honest I might end up just binning it. It really is horrible stuff!

bnatural Skin Quenching Body Milk - WIBA? - I didn't buy it the first time round, it was a present from a friend. Ironically enough I'm no longer in contact with the friend concerned and quite honestly when I consider she bought me that stuff, I'm starting to think that's no loss! :rotfl: It's thin, it's watery, it tries to escape from the tube all over you and the floor. It does, admittedly, seem to moisturise well, but that doesn't make up for how nasty it is to use.

I will now hammer through the rest of a bottle of Tresemme shampoo, and I have a big tub of Sanctuary Mande Lular out on the side ready for use, my only hope is that it's still OK as it must have been about for a few years. :o
