Forgot to mention that for PYNM (mind you I paint mine about 3 times a week - nail lacquer is my obsession!) I'm wearing OPI A Ruby for Rudolph. OK, it's bright red and Christmassy but it livens up the dull day! xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Ah, another rug-lover! I'm sick of all these smooth men. Show us the chest carpet, please!
Oh trust me, DH's back being waxed leaves him plenty hairy. I've always liked a little hair, not smooth, but dh is turning into one of those wolf people.
True story: before DH I was never that cuddley in my sleep, I like my own space, but with DH I hug him all night. On working out why this is I think its because he feels a bit like my parents' breed of dog, which I have always cuddled in bed.0 -

I dunno really... I haven't tried many (Biotherm, Loreal, a Nivea one, 'Natural High' from Superdrug, Clinique and a few others) but the Biotherm is definitely the gentlest and stops the skin under my eyes from feeling tight. The others either made the skin look worse or did nothing at all. I definitely noticed a difference when I stopped using the Biotherm and started using Nivea again..
LOL, sorry...yes I see a difference between using eye creams or not and between brands of eye creams on how my eyes look.0 -

Spiggle, that was brave to put your list on this thread. Well done!
Is the Botanics moisturising Sugar scrub a body scrub? Having psoriasis on my forehead I am on the lookout for quite a sharp facial scrub. Do you know of any?
Good luck with using up whats on your list. I started this challenge mid Janaury and all I have bought is a packet of cotton woll pads. Now I love the feeling of throwing away a used up toiletry item and having a bit more space in my bathroom cabinett.
Becky have you tried eumovate cream on your psoriasis?I get it on pescription and it is safe to use on the face for when i get the odd outbreak there.Would a sharp scrub make it sore?I use Clarins gentle exfoliator most days on my face and really like it.
I will be soooo glad when the weather gets warmer as my skin is so sore even on days i don't go out when it is this cold:(0 -
I was doing so well!! I went to tesco (of all places..!) and ended up buying two orginal source shower gels (I really didn't need any more shower gel and two deoderants.
They were on special offer but I really don't need them this year! Oh well. They're filling up the space made by my last stash clear out.
I keep doing things like that too. I'm just glad that it's mostly happens with cheap items in Tesco now instead of the more expensive department store brands.I went to Tesco yesterday an bought some more Impulse body spray

Beck2, I'd be a bt wary of aggravating the psoriasis. Dh finds if he gets a plaque on the face and treats is immediately it goes quicker than anywhere else. Aggravated they never seem to go.
If you are having trouble with them it might be time to see your dermatologist and try different one of the plethora of creams.

Morning sparkly ladies! :j I have lost 1.7lbs this week, so am feeling very happy about that!!!!:beer::beer::beer:EssexHebridean wrote: »I had high hopes for the wretched bnatural skin quenching body milk to do the decent thing and expire tonight. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I have a few products like this...
I do find the whole ageing process quite fascinating and am particularly intrigued, by the anxieties all you youngsters have about fine lines etc. Last year I went to a school reunion; it was unbelievably 40 years since we all started grammar school and everyone there was age 51 and 52, although looking around, there was probably a 25 year span in the ages the women actually looked.
From my experience, I have to say with skin ageing generally , that it's down to good genes, good health , SP and good living, bolstered by lotions and potions. I choose to spend a certain amount of money to make me feel treated and pampered, but after that I prefer to spend on travel or to save for other things. I tend to skip over reading the advertising hype for lots of products otherwise I'd probably get so sucked in I'd be wanting to try them all! What has been a noticeable eye-opener on here are the WIBA reviews, that show what works for one, doesn't suit the other a bit!!
My laughter lines are the memories of a thousand smiles! (Or that's what I tell myself!!)
What's SP? And I bet you were the youngest looking one there!I enjoyed your post and I think you are so right - I spend a certain amount on toiletries, but I don't get sucked into the really dear stuff as I also much prefer to travel and enjoy myself than buy expensive products! One of my friends spends about £300 a month on toiletries!

Great post.
I never really cared, but that was vanity of youth. Before I got ill in one of my careers (at least) my looks were definitely influential on my income IYSWIM. My mother's first career also was looks orientated. Its hard, wih the history of the ideal of women's beauty, historically nd now, to not confuse beauty and youth. FWIW my mother, though now definietly looking ''older'' is still beautiful, and some of the most beautiful women I've known I've met in their 70s plus and gasped. I don't have that sort of bone structure though, so for me youth preservation is definitely a good safety net! Added to that that when I got ill I put on weight and this is definietly not good for looks, but neither is losing (I had no idea where one could get wrinkles from weight loss:eek:).
One of my doctors and I have a joke that if I don't make any great age I want to look like I died young....(morbid but funny) not as if I got old to soon IYSWIM..:D0
