I was looking at those today. Really wanted to buy a strawberry one to use but I don't have a bath, argh! It would've been so much fun too. :(

I too was looking at them in ASDA, the strawberry bath one smelled lovely, I had a man ask me if he should buy it for his gf? I said yea it smells lovely! But I resisted! :D

Must resist Debenams Clinique bonus time offer this weekend. So I will not be visiting the shop.
  • evening everyone, I haven't posted for a couple of days and there is LOADS of chat to catch up on!!

I've not used anything up but I'm happy to report I'm bac on the s&g clean girls body wash after finishing my skin care study hurrah.

and I've decided to throw out the body butter I'm using because it's horrid, te m&s shea body butter, I've used half and I'm hating it, it feels horrid as it goes on and a funny smell lingers afterwards. I dunno what that is all about because it's not old. In my defence I did pay half price for it, so having paid half price and used half in my head I feel I can throw it away (hey it works in my head!!) So I'm going to rescue something else out of my stash later.

I've been using the no7 bubble bath (part of gift set bought in 75% sale) and I'm not impressed. It smells ok but you don't get many bubbles unless you use loads so I won't be buying again.

I haven' even been tempted this week yay!
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

Starting to HATE S&G packaging. It's a total hassle getting the body butter out of the tubes. Would be far better in pots :(

  • Evening all,

Thanks for the tip about increasing the number of posts to 40 - found that much quicker. Yay. Used up:

    - Pronamel toothpaste. First of all thought, crikey yuck, and I bet this is expensive (this was a free sample from my dentist). Then when I used it my teeth felt really clean. So...I bought one tonight! I've not been feeling like my teeth are clean so feel this was a necessity! Will stay away from the whitening one I have (or perhaps alternate with it).

    - Mens hair gel, unused, straight to charity. My loved one has sensitive scalp so he looked at me with a... and why did you buy that? In fairness it was about a year ago and of course...it was on offer.

    Bought:
    - toothpaste as above.
    - headache gel patches (these are essential) I pop one of these on and some paracetemol and always feel better.

So far so good. Then I bought the Asda anti-dandruff shampoo. Mmm I now have 3 and a bit shampoos now. And I was doing so well. anyway I will finish the and a bit tonight. Hopefully reverting to the Asda one will help my itchy scalp. :o

Hope everyone else is doing ok. Even if we buy one less thing a month than we would normally, that's gotta be an improvement. :A And money in the bank. :T

Am happy to report I have only bought 2 deodrants since my last post in January. I still have a snowie? from Boots inn my purse and have no real desire to spend it.
Since last post I have used a face wash and have about 2 days left in both a shower gel and a toothpaste so will have to hunt out some new products tonight. I need the baskets which I have my toiletries in to store some stuff in my little girls room so have condensed a box and am aiming to get another got rid of too.
Do you try to use up the smallest things you have first leaving the larger sizes or just use what takes your fancy?

I think the snowies have expired now anyway.

  • Thifty, you get a buzz from getting rid of stuff quickly (like samples, sachets). Some people hear use their "decent" stuff at the weekend and the not so preferred stuff during the week. I chop and change as it can be a hard slog especially if the product is no longer a favourite.
With shampoo I hate I have used them to wash my make-up brushes or wash out the bath. Some people have placed small sample items into their travel bags. Others have created gifts with theirs. Well done on the really low spend!
