Can you see any printing on the m/board eg. 915GV - early ones were 845...
Some were 2 slots/2gb and later were 4 slots/4gb max.
  • Crystal your post
yeah was told this before on here and was told its very easy but am unsure how to do thid myself so will wait till i can afford for someone to do it
does not seem so sensible now ;) so I would suggest at least another 1Gb and there is also info on your motherboard here

Post 170 indicates 2 types of memory-ddr and ddr2, and I'm sure there were other m/boards used earlier.
The scan you posted says you have d915gag which has 4 slots ddr400 upto 1gb each. DDR is not cheap and you get less and less return for more mem.- so if you can get 512 or 2x 512 you will get best improvement for the money.
