    Morning All!

I only got up about an hour ago, OH is still in bed, we had a few drinks last night while watching some films so think his head is probably hurting a little bit....mines fine though!!:D:o

Got rid of loads of junk from the bedroom yesterday, it looks much much better now, it was starting to drive me crazy!

Not too much happening today, I'll cook some sort of breakfast in a minute to help OH's head and will cook a roast today as well. We were planning to go for a walk this afternoon but not sure I fancy it as it is so freezing!

    Have a great day everyone!
  • Just popped back to say a big thankyou for the sleepsiut for DGD, I would pm you but your inbox is full.

Have you tried sleep routines a la supernanny. It's difficult at first, with all the screaming, but hopefully your little one will then settle into a sleep routine. I do sympathise, having been there with my eldest [and trying all sorts, that didn't work].

Have tried it but TBH DS gets hysterical (not sure if that's down to ASD or not) and invariably one will wake the other. Likewise when DD gets overtired she's hard to calm down - getting into bed with DS quite frankly at the moment is the quickest and easiest way to ensure minimal distruption at the moment. For some reason waking early is harder to deal with as once they are awake that's it :(

Hope your throat is better soon xx

csarina - poor you, you sound so stressed. Hope the next 3 days pass quickly and that your move goes well xx

  • Morning all!

Cold here in Southend, heavy frost.

Have done my shopping list on my supermarket ready for tomorrow. I will go to Tesco. I'm getting the delia dvd's!

Can't believe how expensive soda crystals are now though

Have a few chores to do today. I haven't got far though, not even put a WM load on yet :o

I will change my bed today & hoover through. Need to do my ironing. I'm keeping up with it atm! :j

I cleaned my cooker hood last night. I've not been able to get it off since the kitchen was fitted about 4 years ago. I discovered it was screwed in to the cupboard next to it. I am very pleased it's done, it was gross :o Soda crystals are amazing though. It's shiny!

Will also sort out my freezer & pantry ready for tomorrows shop.

Making burgers for dinner (for the kids, I have a tuna steak). Also making cookies or cakes today as well.

    Right, had better crack on.

    (((hugs))) to those in need

    Morning all!

All at sixes and sevens this morning - MrS is away for the weekend and I've been sofa surfing trying to shift this pneumonia. Psyched myself up to get dressed and totter to the village shop thinking I could get the papers and they were closed! We have the best village shop that's open from 7am to 10pm every day and I've never seen it closed. It's gotten village shopping down to an art - it's always got good supplies of tonic water and ice cream :D

Anyway, had a poke online and not sure what to do with the rest of today, depends on what I feel like, I suppose. Was planning on doing a bit of batch cooking and bread making but that may be over ambitious.

Can't be arsed to do any housework today, and isn't Sunday a day of rest??:rotfl:

Did my RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch yesterday afternoon - our garden is usually heaving and of course yesterday all my regulars had vanished. As soon as my hour was up they came flocking back... I love watching them, we've got loads of blackbirds, tits, a pair of robins, hedge sparrows and occasionally a woodpecker.

    Have a good day everyone!
  • morning all. I have never posted in this section before so be kind :D.

I had a crappy nights sleep so am mooching about the house today and spending a little too much time on the sofa. I need to get motivated soon and start the ironing.

I am making a curry later for dinner:eek:. I know, i know its sunday and can't wait it to see the look on their faces when I dish up curry instead of a roast dinner but I need to use some of what's left in the freezer. Besides I cant be bothered to go to the shops to get potatoes as I know it won't just stop at potatoes as I have no will power :D

Hope everyones day is more productive than mine seems to be

Shame Murray has lost, but maybe I will get back to normal now. Will read and be back later. Have managed to get 2 loads of washing out so far, another one in the washer now, and mince etc., in the SC.

    morning

Just waiting for DS to get back from his dads. No doubt he will be on Youtube when he gets back....his latest favourite is a video clip called "gassy pets". I wont post a link;):p:rotfl:(.....mind you if you like toilet humour(like me:o) the one at 1 min 30 secs is hilarious http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohgc3VviUpc)
I have made a traybake this morning as the tins were empty, and am doing leg of lamb, pots, carrots and greens for tea later.
Am up to date with all other work so not much OS here today:T
Need to get BM on ready for pack lunches tomorrow.

Ruby DS is off to Spain with his dad in June and I am dreading it already:o. Have never been away from him for that long and like you the flight worries me. I am such a worrier when it comes to him....if he is 10 mins late coming back with his dad I panic. I also do not think his dad realises how difficult it may be...he is obviously used to Spain and speaks spanish and is used to the food etc as it is like going home for him but DS is not used to all this.
Bitsy just do what you have to do to get some rest and get through the night peacefully. I find with DS i have to do things which are not the way I planned to do them with my family. Eg DS will not sit at a table with others to eat as the various noises are too much for him. So he gets up and down whilst eating and wanders flapping during the meal....people seeing this may think he has no manners and I am not teaching him properly but it is a way of having our meal peacfully:o. He usually has his meal at the table alone though before us as it is more comfortable for him and he doesnt get as wound up. With ASD you have to think outside the box and do what suits your DS and your family at the time. Will send you those PECS CDRoms tomorrow as OH has copied them...I have no clue how to do it!

  • Morning Everyone,

Feeling almost human today. Have had a shower and a thorough scrub and all the final traces of the booze up have left my body now, I think!! Still being lazy. OH is doing the dishes, then I shall make lunch. Something easy and brunch-y like French Toast, I think, then I shall do my final total for the GC, and do a mealplan for the week. I am off work this week, with lots planned, so want to get organised quickly and get the shopping done 1st thing tomorrow, and out of the way!

Sunnyday/n9eav Do you just use the seeds from peppers you buy, or do you mean you buy seeds? I haven't tried them before, but am keen to try, as we go through a lot of them, and if you geminate your own that is really MS and worth a try for me, too.

Hugs to all the poorlies and worried. Seraphina you be careful, my MIL had pnuemonia which took a nasty turn and she's now ended up with something horrendous and serious which leaves her on oxygen 24hrs a day, and not long enough time left to live. Don't mean to scare you, but her diagnosis has scared the living daylights out of me, I had pneumonia when I was a young woman, and realised the seriousness of it, but never realised it could leave you with other health problems if not treated correctly or quickly enough.

OK enough the scaremongering!:o Have a great day, everyone.

Might pop back later with something jolly to say, sorry do be such a doom monger!
