The slowcooker has been scrubbed and the pork is in it now so the house should smell lovely shortly, i`ve put lots of dried sage in too, i shall make the yorkshire pudding batter soon and leave it to stand until later.
Mumof2 - DH has just called to let me know that he arrived safely and said that 75% of the lake is frozen but there are some little bits that he can fish so maybe my vision of the gnome wasn`t too inaccurate after all :rotfl:
Please be very carefull if you are driving today everyone, he also said that he had seen a really bad accident on the way there with a van in a ditch on the wrong side of the road and a car which had gone through a wall and was in the middle of a pub lounge.
The garden is full of birds as i`ve put loads of food out for them this morning, i always add extra if its particularly cold, i shall wrap up now and take the houndies out for their walk.
Nessie - Hope that you feel better as the day goes on.
Keep warm & safe peeps.

Good Morning Chums well I have been a busy bee the past few days.De-cluttering like mad,I have definitely got the bug.Last night I put a chicken in the SC overnight and this morning have stripped it clean as my eldest DD wants some curries to put in her freezer,so that will be the next job.
I have just cleaned my study windows, as I had taken down the curtains and nets for washing so thought I had better not put them back on mucky windows.I can only do the insides as my arms won't stretch down the outside but as they overlook the garden only I will see them.My son-in-law is coming round this morning to move my computer for me in the study I want it on the other side of the room as the big wooden unit is far too big for the room so that will be dismantled and taken to the tip.
My pal June is coming from Dartford on Tuesday for a couple of days so we will get stuck into getting the unit taken down and do several tip runs .I also have a small ironing pile that I must get stuck into at some point today. Its very cold here in North Kent but the sun is trying to come out which is hopeful.Right time I was getting a wriggle on. Hope everyone has a good day
Cheers JackieO xx0 -

Welcome Natlie:hello:
Very frosty here this morning too, I thought that it was a covering of snow when I first got up, not been out yet but it looks very cold. Need to go out and get a few bits and pieces today, should really have gone yest but never moved out of the house.
Finished my first wrist warmer last night and have the other one to start of today. I am enjoying learning to knit, think I may ask for a very easy baby pattern when I go to my class on Tuesday - they are held in the local wool shop and the owners are great and both him and her are really good knitters and are more than happy to help out with any tricky (to me) bits. Its really friendly in there and they have a couple of sofas for people to just come and knit and generally anyone who can will help you out. I can see me spending quite a bit of time in there!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
Chicken and the works for lunch, I had porridge for breakfast as I need to start to get back to my diet (but the lovely fruit loaf is still calling me in the kitchen - will have to get Hubbie to eat it up, annoyingly he can eat whatever he wants and never puts a pound on!)
Right off to have another cuppa, have good days all

Rotten sore throat this morning. Makes talking very painful, so a quiet day here, from me
I've done the ironing this morning. Finished a load in the wm, sorted bacon for breakfast [need to wake DDs up now] and put the beef in the sc, for today's dinner.
Girls are off to their young carers group this morning, so will need to make up some lunch for them and order the taxi.
I started shredding paperwork yesterday. It's surprising how quickly it mounts up. There's still loads to do, as it's everywhere!
I also made a start on sorting out the girls educational stuff. I have a huge book mountain, that needs a place to go. The girls have been out of school a while now, and I have kept everything they've done, in case we're ever questioned on the education they receive.
Sorry to hear your back's playing up, bitsy. Back-ache can be an awful thing, because it limits what you can doHopefully, you will be able to get some relief for it.
Have you tried sleep routines a la supernanny. It's difficult at first, with all the screaming, but hopefully your little one will then settle into a sleep routine. I do sympathise, having been there with my eldest [and trying all sorts, that didn't work].
Welcome to the daily, NatlieHope you have a lovely time here.

Tired this morning - I'm having some tendon trouble at the moment and sleeping in becoming increasingly difficult. It was only yesterday I realised how restricted my movements become. I did go to the doctors in October when my hip flared up and he gave me some tablets but I found them a bit counterproductive as they dulled the pain a bin I did more and so was worse the next day. At least if I can feel that it hurts I can be more careful IYSWIM. Now my left hip, left knee, right achilles and left wrist is playing up and I have no idea why - surely it can't just be co-incidence that I have 4 tendons giving me trouble since June? Answers on a postcard....... I 'm going to have to go back to the docs but I hav a feeling he'll just tell me its cos i'm fat  but that doesn't explain the wrist which was the first to go....
Anyways - whinge overDD had her first night without a nappy last night and no accidents :T she's been dry overnight since christmas so I thought I'd give her a chance as she hates getting a nappy on now ever for night times.
No Dinner to make today :T step kids are going to DH's mums, DS1 is working (gets his dinner there) and DS2 will be out too. DH me and DD are off on a pizza job
Will be putting some stewing steak in the slow cooker for pies for tomorrows dinner and I have some gammon that I cooked yesterday which will do lunch today or might just to bacon egg and beans with toast for bruch instead....then I can keep all the gammon for meeeeeeeeeee
Need coffee, Have a good day.

jc - well done to your DD:T
DH still no better unfortunately, in a lot of pain and he's thinking its more than just an infection. He's quite down about it as he's got other medical issues and the thought of living with yet more pain is depressing him.
plans for today(when I get up)
ironing
clean and dust lounge
put rubbish out
general tidying and cleaning
not much else to report
(((hugs))) to those in need
take care out in the frost, still snow on the ground here which is all frozen, side roads very icy. xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all.................((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) f you need one.
Another no sleeper here: I cane down stairs at 1.30 was up for a couple of hours, started to feel cold so went back to bed. Had to get up for a wee....just got back into bed when OH arose and went to the toilet, came back and announced that he had the nausea and palpatations........he did drop off quite quickly, but its 17 days since his last attack......he said this morning that he thinks he got up too quickly to go to the toilet. My fibromyalgia has reared its head as it does when I am stressed, that did not help the sleeping issue either. Hopefully tonight I will be so tired I will just drop off.
We too have had a heavy frost, everything is till quite white and its blooming cold in here, I have the gas fire on the bring the temp up a bit. We are out for lunch and apart from brining stuff down into the kitchen not doing much today.
When we have showered in the morning I will clean the bathroom, so apart from the toilet it will be clean.....and I can bring the crate of stuff down.
I have been puzzling over my large cutting mat, it needs to be kept flat, decided in the night to see is we can tape it to one if the table tops. I will have to ask them to cover it, they can disintegrate if they get too cold.
The chest freezer is also a bit of a problem which we need to solve one way or another, but it will have to wait until we get up there.
No way am I having doubts, but I do wish the next 3 days could be over and done with........I hate mess and we are going to be in amess for weeks, certainly until DS2 comes up and sorts out shelves in the kitchen etc for me.
Coffee calls, will be back later................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning all:D:D
Was woken by Boo shouting "Peppa" at 5.30am, so she's had 2 breakfasts and is watching her Peppa Pig box set, which I know off by heart now;)
It's snowed here, so don't think i'll be venturing out, as the roads really slippy, so I will have my final NSD which puts me exactly on target:D
OS wise i'm still ebaying and sorting bags and bags of big clothes, and having veg curry for tea:p:p
(((huggles))) to all in need esp DIVA, TAPLADYS OH, BITSY, and anyone else in need:A:A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Morning all,
Slow start to the day here, did not get up till 9.30 it was bliss, very cold and frosty here too.
OH is just making me a bacon and egg sandwich :T, we have a happy chook for dinner which I will do with roasties, cabbage, carrots and cauli, will do it for tea time as dd is off out with her dad, will do her a veggie pie to go with hers.
OH and I are going to have a drive over to a second hand furniture shop and have a nose in there, and take little dog out for a walk. We also need to take back some loo seats ( we both bought two ) and pick out light fittings for the conservatory, and get paint etc.
I have my bedding in the wm, which I will put on the line before we go out, dd is in the shower but I will get her to strip her bed before she goes out.
DD is off to Spain with my sis for a week in Feb, I know she will have the time of her life and my sis will look after her, but I am worried about the flight more than anything, and I have never been apart from dd for that long
its going to be a long week.
Hugs to those in need, have good days all xx
Meant to say Good Luck to casarina for the move, I hope it all goes well for you, I know only too well how stressfull it can be xx0
