Lets get one thing clear lol................I am not suggesting the OP takes court action, whether SC or Criminal lol, my few examples I posted out of the many I have were to back up my example.0

We endeavour to ensure that the details of all products, including prices, displayed on our websites are accurate. However, given the high volume of flights, hotels and other products offered it is inevitable that, in exceptional cases, mistakes will arise. We cannot accept liability for these errors. This is because the information which you are shown is being transmitted effectively live from the relevant travel provider’s IT system.
I admit that I am assuming in this case the "travel provider" is the hotel.
The 'IT system' is presumably the allocation the hotel has given for a particular night to third party bookers. It really isn't the same as a live booking system. Also, if you take the word "effectively" to mean "definitely" you might want to reconsider your ability to decode complicated legal documents.
Regarding your point about them all changing at the same time: the various companies may not be linked to each other, but they are likely buying through the same wholesaler, for example Gulliver's, so as soon as Gulliver's change their price then everyone using them changes too.0 -

But surely you are saying that they could, if they so wished, based on the rights you say that they have? Otherwise, what would be the point of having the rights in the first place? If so, how would they proceed with this action? It may help someone else who finds themselves in this situation and does wish to pursue it.Gone ... or have I?0 -

In fact I may track down the holiday reg's, seeing as they could be a factor, though my gut feeling is you will get the night at the pre-paid rate.0

And my gut feeling, as someone who works in the industry, is that the OP won't.
Worth a shot though - hope that the hotel decide to take the hit just to be nice.
To give you an idea, £20 wouldn't cover the cost of someone staying in a budget hotel room, never mind the commission that the third party booker would take on top of that. If they do honour it, it would cost them money for the OP to stay there, not just in the lost revenue, but in the cost of housekeeping etc.0 -
