  • Just a point on the older car, my wife (out of interest) put in a quote on Gocompare for a former car of hers, a sciento 2001 (with the reg no) and the cheapest was £1900 from Admiral, so much for the theory on an old and cheap car!

Just so you (and anyone else who reads this) is aware these are the implications of fronting.

The parent who takes out the policy is obviously the policyholder so it is them who commits the fraud and runs the risk of potentialy being convicted of fraud. The Insurers can void the policy (Basically declare it null and void) so can avoid paying the claim, although they may still have to pay the third party claim but will pursue for reimbrsement for their outlay which can be surprisingly high if their are any injuries.

In addition as the policy has been voided the parent will have to declare this to other Insurers including motor, home and travel etc etc and they will find it very difficult read very very expensive to find cover for the abov types of policies.

Insurers are very good at discovering fronted policies and have a number of ways of finding them (They are generally very obvious).
  • dacouch, this is for you and other likeminded, please stop spamming this thread on FRONTING, we have the message, we on this thread all know it is fraud. This thread is for cheaper legit insurance for a 17 year old male, fiesta 2008, something below the current lowest £2600, will do. Don't come on here about FRONTING, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME, IF YOU DO!

Dacouch works in insurance and is pretty much an authority on insurance :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Isn't starting a thread about something that's been pretty well covered already spamming then? ;)

You may not have noticed but this is a forum that is open for everyone, you cannot welcome or unwelcome contributers.

My post was actually for anyone who falls on this thread after bothering to search the threads for young drivers or fronting. When you contribute on MSE it is important that you bear in mind the information posted is not just for your benefit but also for any future readers.

I would suggest you reconsider the way you post as you will have alienated a lot of potential helpful posters who will have seen your response to me and decided not to bother posting. So you could have just reduced the amount of contributers to your precious post.

P.S I'm tempted to recommend you try Quinn...
  • dacouch, if you had bothered to fully read this thread, from the beginning, you would have seen, that mention of FRONTING has been well documented (iamana1iias has a deeprooted gripe about it). I hear you are in insurance and you mention Quinn Direct, which as stated by me was indeed the cheapest, until match by ny own insurerers, Churchill. FYI, i personally on this thread , started by me, am only interested in posts that can tell me about possiblr insurance coy's that can beat £2600, for my own particular circumstances.

No-one can tell you that. You know how insurers ask you about 100 questions? Well, every single one has a bearing on the price, and will change according to statistics.

Only way you'll get prices are to actually run the quotes.

I dunno. Too lazy to search and then too lazy to run quotes. do you drive between your kitchen and living room too??? :rotfl:

I did read the post fullly thank you, as noted before you do not own this thread, it is an open forum that anyone can contribute to or read. As anyone can read th thread and hopefully they will read it they can see my post about the potential consequences of fronting.

Have a look at the top part of your screen next to the yellow exclamation mark.

As I said before, the way you are posting will put a lot of other posters off posting.

P.S I could probably tell you quite a few ways of reducing the premium, but due to your manner I C.B.A

  • i have had enough of you iamana1ias, fyi, i have tried nothing else for the last 3 days, putting to quotes in, to various comparison sites as well as individual sites. I have also done all the searching that anyone could possibly ask of.. You have the most unhelpful and irritating poster i have ever come across. You prejudge and come to wrong conclusion. As a parent one comes on here to seek help/advice, you have added nothing to the discussion. I do wonder what experience you have of being a parent of a 17 year old, just starting out in his driving life,
