Ah ha ! Found you all lol. Thank you muchly to the lovely ladies who keep this thread going  :D.

Have already started on my Feb budget but the food won't be eaten until Feb so I can sort of get away with it :p. Still plan on stocking up on a few things while they're on offer :money:. Hopefully the extra £50 this month will allow for that :o.

Right off to get DS up for footie training - have a good weekend everyone

Just confirming I'm in this month at £200 but hoping I am well within budget as we have a wedding dress to save for now! :)

Hi all, Can I jump into the challenge for the first time with a budget of £180?

I got a shock this week when my friend who has 2 adults and 2 hungry kids managed to spend £110 (plus bread and milk), whilst I have been spending over £50 PER WEEK for 2 adults. This is especially bad when you consider hubby etas out 3 times a week.

So am starting gently this month and see if I can get it down a little each month. My big spend is on soft drinks for myself, as I don't drink tea/coffee and am allergic to sweetners, and can't drink plain water, so constantly on the hunt for something cheap and nice to drink.
  • Happy February everyone!!! Can you please put me down for £250 (me, DH and 2DS') this month - my freezer is empty so I need to do a BIG shop!!!!! I managed to be under budget for Jan but it definitely proved that "pop to the shops" is more expensive than doing the big shop and being prepared!!!!!!

  • Wow 4 pages already - I'll catch up later ;)

My January total was £246.16 and setting a budget of £220 for February.

I know that's quite a drop from my usual £250 but I need to save money somewhere this month so groceries it has to be.

    Best of luck everyone, K
