Thanks for the shiny new thread MrsM, Pink and Rosieben.
NSD for me on day one yesterday and hoping for another one today (sending OH to be the taxi to take DD1 home from work:D)
OH's current job finished today and doesn't have another yet so he'll be signing on on Monday. So will need to go very careful this month, though I am going to costco tomorrow (weather permitting) so I am going to have to make sure that everything I buy is really useful (such as - I need a case of huge tins of tomatoes for batch cooking chilli and bolog.) We are going to Leeds for other reasons so it is a good opportunity to get stocked up. I can't justify the trip for shopping alone. I will probably get some bacon but will have to think carefully about what else to get.
Good luck with February everyone.0 -
I want to try and keep our grocery spending down to £160 next month. That's for two adults in our house. Might sound like a lot but we do like to eat wellThey have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Hi everyone :hello:
Thanks for starting the thread Pink! Cheers Mrs M for keeping us all on track!
Today begins February's challenge as it's DH's payday! Went to M&S for one of their 'Dine in for £10' deals. Chose the largest chicken I could find so I can make it last a couple of days!Saved just over £8 in total. Also, Superdrug were doing an offer on my vitamins, so stocked up on those too - £9.98.
ragz - hope baby makes her appearance soon, I'm on tenterhooks here!!
Best of luck to everyone this month and welcome all the new challengers!
Have a good evening!

MrsMC lovely to see you back, you were missed, although Helen deserves a big 'Thank you' for her wonderful work of keeping the GC running in your absence.
Can you put me down for €150 again this month please, will have visitors for a week but freezer still quite full, trouble is half of the stuff in there isn't labelled so not sure how we will get on.
Not declared for January yet as I'm sure that the small amount I have left will need to be spent.
Good luck to all
