  • Hello, Newbie Alert!!

Please can I join in??! Having looked over my spending since the beginning of the year, I've spent a scary £540 in the supermarket  What's worse is alot of it's been on needless items......

Please can you put me down for £430 for Feb? I'll see how I go from there :)

Going for £120 for Feb please. Lost the plot last month due to living between 2 houses and although I ate for free most of the time I think i went over budget

My month is going from 22nd Jan until 19th Feb (I think) and I have had a couple of spends already. Will update once DS is in bed :D

:wave:Nice to see you back here MrsM :D

Have found it much better to BIG shop every 2 weeks then pick up milk, fruit, veg etc from my tesco local.
That way I'm not tempted by bogofs and special offers every week.
If I had a bigger freezer/kitchen/home I would be able to get it down to once a month which I'm sure would be even cheaper.

But it's still way better than the £550 per month I used to spent....that was for 3 adults:o got it down last year to £300pm and with a yearly budget this year hope to get it down further.

    Good luck everyone

    Hello!
I hope it's not too late to be added to your list: this is my first challenge since finding MSE.

Can you put me down for £280 for February please. We are a family of 4.5 (me, OH and 3 kids but OH often works away) and a pre-MSE spend of £600 -ish, but I spent January using up the huge reserves in my store cupboard and freezer so this month will be the real test!

Right, off to plan my Feb menu with a glass of wine..
