Thanks for starting the new thread Pink! Can you put me down for £115 this month? Treated myself to lunch at work today as it's payday, but maybe that didn't make for the best start to my grocery budget for the month!Mortgage-free wannabe 2025 £571/30000

I have had a busy day trying to make sure I get the most for my money.
Went to MnS to get some 3 for 10 meat - none there but spent £41.11
Went to Mr A for loo roll, dishwasher tabs etc - spent £34.32
Went to Mr S - spent 73.49
Some of that was mum's so I got £20 and have updated signature with my own actual spend.
I am confident that we have enough wipes, nappies (once ds gets over his tum upset and goes back to wearing pants in the day), toiletries and loo roll for the whole months. We also have enough dishwasher tablets, laundry liquid, handwash and cleaning products to take us until at least mid march if not longer.
I have jointed one chicken so that's 3 meals worth in the freezer and the wings are in the oven roasting for a snack for dp. The carcass is currently making stock. I have another chicken poaching in the slow cooker. I'll strip that and freeze the meat in meal size portions. Plenty other meats and other edibles kicking about in the freezer and store cupboards so I am hoping just to get away with buying fruit, veg and a few bits and bobs for the rest of the month. Good luck everyoneSealed pot member 735

Not yet tallied up Jan's GC yet but aiming for £120 in Feb. This includes all food, alcohol (which I'm now limiting to weekends only, should fit in with joining WW on Monday!!) and cleaning products. Basically everything except petrol, which is good as my car appears to have mislaid it's brakes???? Scary when you only realise whilst driving!!!
Good luck to everyone for Feb. Wise person once said, you don't fail, you make mistakes and learn from them!!

Whet slightly OTT in January but it was a looong month. So Monday starts a brand new shiny challenge, and I am going to see how little I will really spend in February by cutting things to the real bone.Use the bus more instead of the car if I can and shop from my JHS (Jackies Home Stores) to utilise what I have got .0

Hello all
I'm going to try again this month (after going over in January) so could you put me down for £100 please. No dog food to buy this month as I get it every other month in bulk.
DH has noticed however that we are eating better and with more variety so I must be doing something right!! Meal planning works:j
Just need to get the budget under control and I'm laughing:rotfl:0 -
Good Morning all - forgot to update spends last night as I got a bit side tracked making tablet and attempting bread (again)
. Spends so far are £16.94 on 26/01 and £7.76 on 24/01. Some of the £7.76 was for my folks and they gave me the money back so my spend was actually only £4.23
This makes my monthly total so far £21.17:D:D
Need to pop to Mr T later to get cat bics (poor little thing - i keep forgetting them) and to get some pull ups as they are half price just now
so will be back later to update again :rotfl:
