Anyone who has gotten pregnant again after a late loss - did you tell your friends and family with your next pregnancy, and if so, when?

DH doesn't want to tell anyone other than his parents (my mom knows) before our 20 week scan, since that's when things went haywire last time. I kind of want to tell people, just in case something does go wrong, people will be more supportive and understanding. I don't know what to do!

I've been mulling this over in my head too, Mrs_T_M, for when Hubby and I are ready to try again. I am torn between both halves of the argument! In some ways I want to tell a few close people early on, earlier than we told them with Thomas (12 weeks), as I think I'll need the support. On the other hand, like you 20 weeks is when things went wrong last time, so it is tempting to wait until after then!

I will be interested to see what other people who had late losses did in terms of telling people about their next pregnancy.

Thank you everyone. Was hard yesterday when picked dd up from nursery and they said she had been telling everyone she is having a baby brother or sister even though we had told her the baby isn't coming any more. To be fair I did say she will hopefully have a brother or sister one day just won't be soon.

My house now looks like a florist from all the flowers we have received but lovely that people are thinking of us.

Mrs_T_M that is a tricky one. I think I would be more on your wave of thinking and want the support.

Emma - so sorry to see you over on this board. Please take good care of yourself and your OH. We are always here for you if you want to talk or vent or anything at all - much love x

Wendz- how r u feeling today?

When we had the first MC in January, our house was also like a florists and I felt truly loved by our friends (got nothing from family!) - I found it helped me to look around the room and know that so many people were thinking of us and that we weren't alone despite feeling like the only people in the world to be going through it at the time.

    Bigs hugs to you :grouphug:

Emma - so sorry to hear you have suffered too. Good luck in the future for you too. xx

Gelly - I am feeling ok today thank you. Will be aiming to go back to work Monday as feel like I want to now.

They have booked a service for us a week on Monday at the crematorium which I think will be hard but hoping it will help us in the longrun.
