Tea - I'm so sorry, that is rubbish
. I'm guessing it's nhs? (They'd soon go out of business if a private hospital did that). I don't want to moan about the nhs because we're lucky to have it, but these situations are so frustrating.
It sounds like you're at the end of your tether - can you take any time off? Get some space?0 -
It's actually private! Well, it does both and last cycle we were NHS but we're now private.... the service is no better though .
Am now looking for other options but the nearest looks to be best part of an hour away which just seems impractical as I work f/t. I know from last time just how many times you need to be over there.
I don't have any leave left for this year, but am seriously contemplating a few days off sick.
Just had a massive sausage roll though so that's cheered me up a bit.

Aww Tea it's the little things that mean so much sometimes. It must feel like everyone is so casual about something that is so so important and precious to you. I'm so sorry that the hospital did that, it's really out if order. Are you waiting to hear from the hospital with a new date? I really hope so. If you had any contact details it might be worth writing a message to the co-ordinator letting them know you're gutted about the late cancellation and really keen to schedule a new appointment? Big huge hugs. If you've got any leave maybe you should take a day off and pamper yourself.
Betty I hope the Memorial Day and the sands meetings are helpful. I am sure it is bring all those emotions out. Huge hugs to you xxx:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

That's shocking! It must be hard to make the decision on where to go for IVF. Someone was telling me that they went to the Czech Republic to a clinic which specialised in IVF for the over-40s and which had really good success rates - and the total cost, including airfares, was about the same as here. It worked the second time for them.
Really hope your hospital sort themselves out (or you find somewhere better) and in the meantime I'm sure a few days off would really help.0 -

Hello ladies, hope you're all bearing up.
So, we finally have an appointment at the hospital next week (only because I rang the bereavement mw again). I'm wondering, is it worth airing my 'grievances' here or is it purely to talk about what happened/will happen (if I get pregnant again)?
Thanks x0 -

Thanks bwp, good ideas there. It's been 3 months since I had the mc (at 21 weeks) so I've been a little 'angry' lately about the lack of contact from the hospital.
I don't want to make them formal, the back story is my waters broke at 18 weeks and it took 3 visits to the hospital (gastroenteritis apparently, then thrush, they didn't even take the bleeding seriously the third time I went in at first). I don't actually feel as though I want to get pregnant again as I can't go through that again.
My big concern is that they didn't even test the placenta, I know it could be that they wouldn't find anything but I'm wondering 'why the big delay' and waste our time.0
