Call the doctor tomorrow, or NHS direct now if you're still awake. Worth getting checked out asap with things like this.

I'm with Betty on this - give NHS Direct a call if you're not asleep already. Look after yourself honey, we're worried about you x

I am with Betty too. Give a ring.

PLMBL- sorry for your negative - any AF signs?

Bit down yesterday - went to see the Dr and I thought he said he would send me for a scan early as my pg is straight off the back of a mmc. No, he won't. He said it is pointless as it is a snapshot in time. So I need to wait until 12 weeks.

I am feeling very sick so to me that is a good sign.

I know it might seem pathetic to all of you, but 6 weeks seems like a lifetime to know all is ok this time.

    :( xx

  • I'm sorry samtoby xx I hope the next six weeks go very quickly ! It doesn't seem pathetic at all - it's a natural worry when you've been through what we have. a little understanding from your GP would of been nice

Is there Any way you could have private one in a couple of weeks?

I'll call doc in an hour. Hopefully it will be nice one I spoke with earlier. No blood this morning so far so maybe it's just pre-AF spotting?

I've got a couple of days off next week :) one is to see psychiatrist as I have appointment on Tuesday.

I think AF should be here roughly around 4th oct. I was told first one is worse than normal? Is that right?
I'm running a wedding on 5 th October which could be awkward lol

rosie - if it's any consolation the first AF I had after the m/c wasn't any different to normal. Glad to hear the bleeding has stopped again this morning, hoep you're feeling ok x.
  • Rosie - my first period after losing the boys was very heavy, just like the post-birth bleeding (which really worried me at the time). So it could be that, but please get checked out. If there's a problem you want them to find it ASAP.
  • Rosie after my ERPC (2nd mc) I bled off and on for ages until a lump of tissue came out that had been missed in the op. I wish I had got it checked out sooner so I'm glad you will speak to Dr. Also glad to hear you have your other appointment too :D.

Samtoby I totally understand your fears for getting to 12 weeks. I have fingers and toes crossed for you! Still no sign of AF for me, getting on for 2 weeks later than expected now. I'm trying to see it as a positive that it's a negative (pardon the pun) as I really don't want to be told I will keep mc'ing and already be pregnant. Appointment is 23rd October. Still no news on the tests they did on the twins. Not sure if they are still sending that by letter or if I will be told in the appointment instead. Xx

Rosie my period was much lighter. It can come at anytime though so I wouldn't bank on it coming when you expect.

To be frank your boyfriend sounds like a controlling pr}%k and I'm not sure why you are with him he doesn't seem to add any positive benefit to your life.

Especially as he doesn't seem to be supporting you through this, sounds like you'd be better off with support from friends & family.

And from knowing women in your position I know things will never change unless you yourself do something about it x

Samtoby I have everything crossed for you. I think it's good to take each day at a time. Easier said than done I know, but I am counting down to my submission deadline too! I started with 95 days to go, and am now on 68 :) xxx

Rosie I hope you're okay. Definitely call the Dr if you're worried. I hope your AFs are completely normal. (My AFs have changed completely since the mc. They are now so short and heavy with a little bit of spotting either side. I hope that isn't a sign of something bad :().

PLMBL I am glad your appointment is coming up. I hope that they will have the results to discuss with you at the appointment. Maybe worth chasing them if you're worried. ((((Hugs))))

  • Samtoby - I know 6 weeks can feel like an eternity, although is it worth trying your early pregnancy unit? When I had my early miscarriage they said to let them know when I was pregnant next time and they'd do a scan at 6-7 weeks. It seems cruel to make you wait under the circumstances.

We had an invitation to the baby memorial service (annual event run by the hospital) over the weekend. It's not for a few weeks yet but I think we'll go, especially as its our first year (not sure if we'll go in later years just yet). We also have a sands meeting tonight, so I think the combination of the two is making me feel more fragile, iykwim?

so I think the combination of the two is making me feel more fragile, iykwim?

Totally. They both sound like great ideas, but bound to be tough at the same time. I hope you really benefit from both xx.

Having a cr.appy day here :( Our FS appointment this morning was cancelled at the last minute as the hospital are flaming useless. They can't even give us another date so have no idea when/if we'll be able to start IVF #2. Just want to get going, I feel like life is racing past me and I can't even get started on this.

Also hating work right now, which definitely isn't helping. Although it is handy that I'm in on my own today as I had a right old bawl this morning. It all just feels a bit much right now.
