So I went to EPU again this morning, had another scan (my 4th), and thankfully everything appears to have naturally gone and I am all clear again. The MC is complete.

He said I appear to have what looks like a cyst on one of my ovaries, but apparently this is normal and not to worry about it. The nurse then said it could even be a new egg developing.

The analysis on the stuff we brought in last time came back as being normal. 'products of conception', notyhing strange or unusual there.

I was advised to wait for my first period to come and go and then we can start again.

So positive news really. No surgical proceedure required (thank god), but still very sad and I had a good cry the minute we left the hospital.

So onwards and upwards from here :o

    Good News MV. xoxo

quaver with my first MC I was dreading the due date, it was jan 6th but since I tend to have mine at least 2 weeks early (gestational diabetes) I was expecting to have the baby there for christmas. I'd got to 10 weeks before a scan revealed baby had stopped growing at 8 so had loads of plans in my head, I hadnt contemplated not having the baby, it was such a shock. I was a SAHM when I found out I was pregnant but went back to work about a month later and became alot more selfish (not in a bad way, I had been putting everyone before me for a few years and just realised I had needs too). On the due date I was at work and just tried not to think about it, I just had to get through the day, no one at work knew about the MC since I hadnt worked there before it happened so that made it easier. I have 2 due dates to look forward to this year :( 21st May and 17th Sept. Even if you move on by the time they come round they are going to be a sad day, us mums never forget, even this year I remembered the baby I'd lost and that they would have been a year old this christmas but I was able to deal with it as a it would have been lovely but wasnt meant to be.

My due date turned out to be mothers day that year, i coped fine but found the one year anniversary of actual mc very difficult and by that time i was 5 months preg with ds. everyone semmed to think that since i was already having another baby I had no right to be upset on that date, ended up falling out with everyone and spent the day in bed:o

agreed Ali, last time I was there the lady said hope I dont see you again, or that its good news I do sometimes give good news too. She knows me quite well now. I could only think yeah I've had your type of good news, I had a heartbeat at 7weeks 5, and it was still all taken from me less than a week later. No offence to the EPU lady but I'd much rather a pregnancy where I did not have to see her whatsoever.

MV glad the scan gave you the all clear x

    Ditto. Good news.
  • Thanks all. As I walked in the moody woman who broke the news to me last time as laughing and joking with a colleague and on her way out. She must be due to give birth in the next few weeks. Something chillingly ironic about that.

I'm feeling very down today. At work and struggling again. happy days.
