Well I am doing things slightly differently this week as I want to make sure I am getting all I need, especially after people told me I was probably undereating. I am trying the bodychef monday to friday plan, from what I read on their website there are various different one, but I am doing the lower carb one. Food was delivered last night..and although it wasnt cheap it looks fantastic....and breakfast and lunch today were yummy! I was starting to lose interest in being good so if this works its money well spent!

Hi snuggle69, glad you are doing well! What's bodychef by the way?
I know it's late in February but I was wondering if I could join. I did this last year and lost about 10lbs but have put all this back on! I've been diagnosed with IBS and am currently in the process of trying to find out the foods which are affecting this....

I really need to do something about this weight, i'm starting to feel heavy, if that makes sense.

Welcome back charlie1986, I remember you being on the threads last year! Don't worry btw, people are not looking at you, they've all got their own hangups to worry about. :A And I totally know what you mean about feeling heavy, I feel the same since I've put on the weight, it's crept on slowly but I def feel different and can't wait to lose it.

I think that Lent is giving me a real kick start this year, the sugar cravings are starting to diminish and my appetite is reducing...

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just a question about this....(wretched fashion girls are all baking today, I've got sweet tooth from them...) do you make it with warm milk, or a little hot water then milk?:o

I think I've mucked it up. I used a little hot water and left it too cool and then added the milk, but realised I'd left it too long, by which time it was all milk and lumps. I've whisked it like crazy but it will be a miracle if it works.
  • Thank you lostinrates and tara. I think I am going to aim for 2-3lbs this last week, I have no idea where to start though :o. I think if I give myself a push and go to the early morning swim, hopefully with it being weekdays there won't be too many people there?
I can definately tell i've become unfit, I found it hard walking up the hill with the dog tonight, this time last year I could run up that hill :rotfl:

I doubt I'll ever be a gym sort of person, swimming is definitely more my cup of tea.

It depends on your pool - mine is heaving with pensioners in the early mornings cos it's free to swim for everyone between 7 and 9am. I get very irritated by slow people in front of me (me - intolerant in the mornings? :o ) I try and go in the evenings where possible as I've got a swimming membership and it's lane swimming every night between 9 and 9.40pm which suits me quite nicely.

I don't mind pensioners lol. I've just checked the leisure center website and there is an adults on session 7.30am-9am and 9pm -10pm. I think I will try and go to the early one a few times.
I just need to sort out my diet now :o

I agree, I feel like i work a lot harder in gym classes. So far i've tried out step, body max (exercises with weights) and ab exercises (i could barely sit up the next day!). I keep meaning to try spinning but i've not got round to it yet.
I didn't go for ages because i was worried about going by myself and about being really rubbish. To be honest i'm very uncoordinated but it's ok!

i tried a spin class when i worked in a gym doing sales, i couldnt walk down the stairs to my office afterwards and my legs ached for days, i hve never worked up the courage to go back:)
it was a really good work out though
