You poor thing that is just dreadful.
I would contact the management team and explain your experiences and ask them if they have any intelligence to explain the frequency and if so to explain it to you so you can inform them otherwise. That you feel harrassed by this.
I am also so sorry to hear about your postnatal depression, and the fact your doctor is forcing you on medication.
I am two and a half years into PND and I have had to fight my doctor all the way not to be on medicine.
Have you tried cranial osteopathy? Do you have some extra cash you could put towards it, it is £40 a treatment, but is a proven natural treatment and this along with having a sleep in the day even now has helped me.
How is your husband? Does he understand? If not find ask him to read through this article, it helped my husband understand.

Also, are you on a contraceptive pill, there is proven evidence that a progesterone pill is good for balancing the hormones in the body which make PND worse. I am on cerazette and it has been amazing for me, I don't even have a monthly any more, although others say it doesn't work, and if so there are other forms of progesterone pills.
I would go back to the doctor and say that you would like to try this first and see if that helps. It is detailed in the leaflet below
http://www.apni.org/pndleaflet.htm
Also, if you are on a non progesterone pill, that could cause more mood issues, so perhaps ask to go on something else.
You poor thing, do ask to see a different doctor if yours is being unreasonable about trying these treatments first.
I swear by my cranial, I still go and have one approx every two months. Nothing hurts it is just gentle finger movements on your head while you lie down. Occasionally the osteopath will do a little crack, but that is only if you are happy for it to be done. It releases the tension much quicker, so it helps you have more treatment in your half hour.
Good luck

PS you are entitled to 6 or 8 sessions of counselling through the NHS, has the doctor agreed to this? If not also put pressure on for them to allow this before the meds.
If you have the cash, look online to find a local person and see if you can go privately, mine is invaluable. I have been seeing her every fortnight (used to be weekly) and also keeps me going.

Does anyone remember when Somerfield was International and gave green shield savings stamps?
Showing my age now aren't I? :rotfl:Less is more0 -
Aliadds - I have this feeling that we live in the same town - our garage is co-op too, forgot about that - the Somerfield that closes tomorrow is opposite the petrol station.0

No Patchwork...don't know where you are but I'm in Cornwall!
They're all in different area's and look like they will continue trading. The somerfield one closed in Nov for a refit and re opened in Dec! Apparantly that one, in the town centre, is more expensive than the original one!Less is more0 -
Such a shame to hear about your unpleasant experiences. I worked for a very small Co-op some years ago (no security staff) and hope that everyone found it a pleasant and friendly place to shop, as most of us 'girls' genuinely liked the sense of community. It was difficult/strange when the new regulations came in on IDs, but we laughed about it with the regulars, especially the old blokes who came in for their morning can of 'Super Lager' - we always ID'd them with a wee wink.
Just been into my local Somerfield and had the nicest chap serve me, he even gave me a 'Bag for Life' for free as they didn't have regular carriers. I wonder if the Co-op have central policy on staff training or if every region has its own policies?
Quite sad now that your store staff seem to be such... muppets, frankly."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -
RoxieW re your doctor pushing the pills on you - if you are sure you dont want to take them and feel you can cope without - then I would make another appointment and explain this to her. Only take a friend or your partner with you. for moral support and to explain that you ARE coping.
Failing that, accept the prescription but dont have it filled - Its your body and you are well within your legal rights to refuse any medication.
As for the supermarket - if you do have to pop in for bits and bobs try not to go in as often, but when you do, hold your head up and as another poster suggested walk up to the security guy and offer to let him search your bag. do it every single time you go in. if anyone stares just say loudly, 'they dont trust anyone in here do they?'0 -
I'm 28. It's co-op - the sainsburies is much nicer but quite far for me to walk unfortunately. It wasnt so much an offer - just that I had to be somewhere and didnt have time to be going out of my way elsewhere.
Patchwork cat - that's funny!
hun don't waste your time complaining to the manager, complain via their website.
My best mate is supervisor in our local co-op, the manager is a biatch of the biggest variety and tbh I think most of them in the co-op are (I used to work for them too) she never takes any complaints from customers seriously, the only time she ever stands up and takes notice is if the complain comes via the area manager.
Hope you feel better soon, I've had PND too and I know it's not fun.0
