This information was on out pink enrolment thing. Don't know if it means much?

ambition

I have just (9am) spoken to someone at Barclays Partner Finance and been told that a letter has gone out saying that alternative training will be provided. I was worried because I paid off my loan a couple of days ago and was unsure if that still applied to me, but it seems all is OK. I will be going to the Citizens Advice Bureau anyway to be doubly sure! I will make another post if I hear anything new.

I HAVE A MASSIVE IQ AND I WAS BUILDING COMPUTERS AND PROGRAMMING THEM WHEN I WAS IN THE 2nd YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL, I WAS BULIED LIKE MOST KIDS WHO ARE NOT CROWD FOLLOWERS HENCE I STAYED HOME AND FAILED ALL MY EXAMS... I SAW THIS MCSE COURSE AS AWAY FOR ME TO BETTER MYSELF AND STUCK OUT IN A !!!!!! JOB JUST SO I COULD MAKE MY LITTLE DREAMS OF BEING A FULLY QUALIFIED TECH COME TRUE. (WHICH NOW WILL STAY A LITTLE DREAM)

SO YOU TURN AROUND TO ME AND CALL ME SOME IDIOT WHO SEES AN ADVERT COURSE AND THINKS ITS AN EASY WAY TO MAKE LOADS OF MONEY AND GET A COMPANY CAR AND I WILL GLADLY PROVE YOU WRONG YOU SAD WASTE MAN!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Anyway, Ive been doing this course for almost a year now and i passed my exams for module 1. Just starting my second mod and i read in the paper of all places that my training provider has just stuck a sugar coated didlo straight up my chuff!

I cant get through to anyone at advent and when i do i get this "person isnt at this office anymore" ive phoned my bank and they dont tell me anything. AND I DIDNT EVEN GET AN EMAIL FROM THEM TELLING ME WHAT HAPPENED!

i dont know what to do! I stayed home without a job living out of my dads pocket for the past year just so i could study for 6 to 8 hours a day and for what!

Although harshly put litesp33d does have some points. This company, judging by other threads on the subject about the history of the directors, preyed on the dreams and aspirations of people with the promise of gold and riches. Many of those who took up the training were unsuitable but that was of no interest to Advent as they get the money anyway. There are many training companies like this out there. To them it is a get rich quick scam, take the money then collapse with very few assets. Unfortunately for many this is going to turn into another Farepak. Doubtless the DTI will look into it and as usual just say it was unfortunate. :mad:

If what you say is correct shame ... but i must add that employers in the IT and engineering industries value degrees from brick and mortar establishments in greater stead.

Is it not possible to study part time at university on a Computer Science or engineering course?

Can get student loans at uni.... just a thought... and you know the 'degree' you will have will be worth the paper its wrote on.
