hang on a minute - as i said in my post above there are a few folk who aren't happy. I accept that - you'll acceopt i think that you cannot keep everyone happy all the time. But out of the thousands of students we've trained, very, very few have any issues and loads more are successful. And as i also said there are always two sides to a story. And what you didn't mention is that that posting was two years old. So we don't have a bad record do we?

But i know you won't be interested in that will you? If i say something positive then according to you that's not to be believed - according to you it's promotional deceit. You seem very biased and not really interested in anything that challenges your belief that you know best. I'd love to give you the opportunity to change your mind.

im sorry to say but even if you were 101% legit i think you would find it hard for anybody in this thread to even think about looking at what you can offer. As regards to this advent !!!!!! if i get my money back im giving it to my dad as a thanks for all the hard work hes done supporting me and ill shipping myself off to uni as putting trust into any training either free or fee is out of the question for me and many like me.

I have a question guys... When you signed up for mcse training where you told that only a certain number of people get accepted into this training course?

I was told only 3 of 5 get accepted?

Robin furness told me that because i had such a vast knowledge of computers he would put a good word in and would make sure i was accepted. It seems stupid of me to of done this but when you see the tv adverts and think "thats well up my street" you cant turn something like that down.

    Same story for anyone else?

HERES HOW YOUR WRONG MATE! I HAVE A MASSIVE IQ AND I WAS BUILDING COMPUTERS AND PROGRAMMING THEM WHEN I WAS IN THE 2nd YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL, I WAS BULIED LIKE MOST KIDS WHO ARE NOT CROWD FOLLOWERS HENCE I STAYED HOME AND FAILED ALL MY EXAMS... I SAW THIS MCSE COURSE AS AWAY FOR ME TO BETTER MYSELF AND STUCK OUT IN A !!!!!! JOB JUST SO I COULD MAKE MY LITTLE DREAMS OF BEING A FULLY QUALIFIED TECH COME TRUE. Anyway, Ive been doing this course for almost a year now and i passed my exams for module 1. Just starting my second mod and i read in the paper of all places that my training provider has just stuck a sugar coated didlo straight up my chuff!

I cant get through to anyone at advent and when i do i get this "person isnt at this office anymore" ive phoned my bank and they dont tell me anything. AND I DIDNT EVEN GET AN EMAIL FROM THEM TELLING ME WHAT HAPPENED!

i dont know what to do! I stayed home without a job living out of my dads pocket for the past year just so i could study for 6 to 8 hours a day and for what!

Thanks advent for making my day!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Yep indeedy. I was actually told that the courses advent (can't even be bothered to capitalise it anymore) supplied were of an advanced level, particualrly the workshops, meaning that only those with existing 'superior' IT knowledge could get on the course, as they were aimed at people who wanted to develop existing IT skills. I had 3 offers on the table. One from Computeach, one from Cisco and advents'. The other two were willing to accept me immediately, but the salesguy from advent told me I would have to wait and see if I passed the acceptance criteria. When advent 'offered' me a place, I took that. Stupid me.

    JUST FOUND THIS ON FACEBOOK

PEOPLE WHO JOINED ADVENT AFTER 10/1/10

You are intitled to a full refund if you ring up Barclays Bank, as for the rest who's been there before 10th of january 2010 like myself and thousands more, seems we have to fight for our rites! Please Advertise Everywhere, Online and Offline. Also if you want to get ...a organization together and all willing to go on news we can also do that to up the profile and show how many are upset and want rebelance!

AND I JUST FOUND OUT ADVENT WERE STILL ACCEPTING MONEY OFF PEOPLE UPTO 5 DAYS B4 CRASHING
  • Barclays Finance have confirmed to me that anyone who paid their fees using their loan (credit) arrangements are covered by the CCA 1974. Barclays are working to find alternative arrangements for all students but have acknowledged that should they be unable to do so then compensation/refunds will be appropriate.

Suggest that anyone who used Barclays Finance (previously Clydesdale) should write to them (Recorded Delivery) to register a claim under the Consumer Credit Act 1974. You have 120 days to do this from the date of being informed of the insolvency.
