  • I've been lurking around the thread for a wee while now so I'll say "Hi!". Hi !! :D
My main motivation is to try and clear my debt and de-clutter the house. £10k would clear my feet and put a bit by!
I've been ebaying since mid December and have made £170 approx so far. There's been a bit of a learning curve going on regarding P+P fees. I've been undercharging a few times....
I've also listed about 15 books onto Greenmetropolis, thinking of also listing the same onto Amazon, with the intention to remove from the other "seller" if the book sells... I hadn't thought of Play.com. Will look into there.
Had a bit of a giggle at lunchtime reading all about the shoe/socks listings. I put a pair of shoes on last night and already have 1 bidder.
Oh and I had Slimmingworld quiche for dinner!:):)
Must learn not to count chickens before they are hatched!!!!:D

Every day is a new challenge not a new problem!:p

right we've got the links up but we dont have the list of challengers, MMTWGR are you going to keep that list updated as well from the last OFFICIAL post?

and I also think we should change the title to what it used to be i.e.:

    The £100 to £10k Challenger Part 3.

The word "dribble" in the title is offending me as thats the word Bingo used to describe us and tbh without a lot of us and our many posts the thread really wouldn't have progressed much. The thread has divided into what Bingo calls "no chat". So that is the MINORITY of the people who used to follow the thread have moved onto his new thread... however the majority of us are still here, so we just treat this as our Part 3.

    Pffft i'm annoyed..

  • drinkuppretty - also an idea re the goth clothing.....could you see if any unis or colleges local to you would let you set up a stall when they have their freshers week and other sales? I know at my uni we used to have people come in selling posters, books, cds etc every so often in the student union, no reason why couldnt sell clothes and am sure goth stuff would sell well!

    Hi,

Is this the dribblers thread? I've been out for a Hungarian meal, and come back to all sorts of excitement, and confusion!

Night, night. I hope Bing0 doesn't get too lonely ...... No offence but there are five posts so far on the other thread, and to be honest they are all dribble...... but like Paulabear said, how many of us can come up with brilliant, insightful posts 24/7.

    Great idea :)

I took 2 years off from work when we had dd so our savings are now just about zilch but it was wonderful having that time with her.

Would like to get some cash in the bank for a rainy day or a holiday plus pay off some debt. But in all honesty it would just be nice to have 10k sitting in the bank !

being able to have a few years off with your kids young is priceless, that is worth more than any amount of money in my opinion because you can't buy back time...... which is alot to do with my motivation to want to be at home with the kids while they are young at least, be here when they get home from school and all. I think there is so much emphasis put on making loads of money these days or both having to work, often its necessary but sometimes just cos we are used to having everything we want (materially) when we could prob make do on alot less and give the kids the time.....I know which I preferred as a kid, didn't have my mum at home after school etc and god I would have loved too.

I've been listing loads of books on Amazon. First time to use it, sooo easy .although I got slightly confused when I checked my emails and thought I was accidently buying books instead of selling. Spent 20 mins trying to figure out how to cancel what I'd "bought" . Finally figured out I'd sold 2 books :o:o:j:j

sorry! Don't want to overtake the thread and all, just had another thought or rather a question, how long after signing up to Amazon as a seller are you paid? I have been signed up a few weeks sold a few books but not showing on my account??? Worried they have taken my books and not paid my money!

Interesting result isn't it ... I would agree with changing the title because we are serious in our own silly way - but I'm still proud to be a Dribbler cos I'm being me and I don't give a wotsit if anyone doesn't like it!

That's a good idea :) the union of my old uni has stalls down stairs all the time selling bags and jewellery. I may well try in Sept. A bit late for this academic year as the begining of this term has been and gone. Next term is all exams so people tend to be busy revising, going home for the summer and moving house so the union is usually empty during summer term. There are a lot of goths/ emos ect round there too (Manchester Metropolitan) and I'm sure I could get some of my friends to come on down and support me by buying stuff.

Guys, I go out for a few hours (to work!) and WW3 breaks out! Personally it keeps me sane coming on here, my kids who are 2 & 3 are terrors at the minute and this is my only escape! God I sound like a desperate woman!! Seriously though I need the chat! I think bingo might have found the whole sock thing a bit much? Skim reading is the key. I'm with you all the way xxx
