  • I've been reading the thread every day but not posting much - just because it moves really quickly! But I've been doing well at selling my old books and cd's via Amazon, another one has just been sold tonight! I'm in the process of moving house at the moment, so I'm planning to get settled and then look at how else I can make money!

Well done on your efforts everybody : - )

  • I don't think I put this on the last thread, but I am doing this as last year I had to give up work (which I had only gone back to the previous year..) because my OH commutes and with three children it was not making anybody but me happy to be out working as the children were taken here there and everywhere when I went to work, then OH would pick them up at 8pm (they were 7,5 and 3 at the time). Too much of a struggle. Anyway, trying to find another way to make money that fits in with our life (after spending the second half of 2009 sulking - think of all the money I could have made:) )

Money would go for extras like holidays, savings etc etc - but like to thinkI am doing my bit financially :D

just finished reading the old thread to see that we have a new thread :)

Apart from dh treating us to a takeaway for tea, today has been non-productive apart from 2 dooyoo reviews.

Have a few watchers against my listings on ebay and hope to get some more stuff listed tomorrow, have found some great fluffy bed socks :D wonder if I wear them outside and make them dirty I'll get more bids ;)

seriously though thanks for the support and the nervous giggles, I'm loving the challenge

  • More seriousness needed . what is everyone doing this challenge for ? Great idea Victoriaplum. If someone is feeling low, we can shout 'Think of the extension' or something along those lines :rotfl:

Mine is mostly going to end up being used to buy furniture for my soon-to-be flat and help pay off my debts and possibly buy a car.

That's it... By the end of the year I will have:

    A beautiful looking flat
    No debts
    An actual fully functioning car
And possibly a pile of left over stock and a bit of loose change :rotfl:

I would really like to get an absolute heap of textile design things (a sewing machine that actually works, overlocker, dummys, rolls and rolls of fabric etc etc) and start my own design business.

The only other 2 times i've ever said I want to design clothes and maybe a few soft furnishings i've been laughed at (mother & ex bf ) so i've kinda tried to forget about it but sod it, i'm going to do it, this year, once i've got my flat in a liveable condition and a new job.

I hate feeling all motivated just before bed, it makes it sooo hard to sleep :rotfl:
  • id love to start my own business yummymummy - i just dont have any talents to do so...crew what others say and make the most of the gifts you were given, otherwise youll spend all your life wondering 'what if?'

  • Arsenal drew. I am unbelievably annoyed. OH is laughing at me....I missed most of the United game worrying I'd ruined the other thread, too, but I was just having a laugh. (And to be fair, marrying Fabregas or kidnipping Wenger would achieve the target...)

Playing bingo now and trying to calm down. Have won nothing so far, and it hasn't tracked on Quidco. Hadn't ever visited the website before though, so it should.

I need to get photos up for my business, too, but they need photoshopping and I'm rubbish at it...need to get OH to do it I think :)

I'm trying to pay off my mortgage asap so that i can move down Cornwall in about 8-9 years time and give up plumbing to work in a little seaside cafe or something laid back like that, and not have to do so many hours so i can spend more time 'chillaxing' and enjoying Cornwall and all my hard work in the previous years!

Lovely idea! I would love to sell up live by the sea (tenby area) and maybe have a little business (pt of course) but mainly paint pictures all day!!! But for that I need 500k not 10k, so in meantime I thought if I could pay off credit card (2.5k) have a revamp on the bathroom and kitchen (5k) and put bit away for a nice holiday that would be excellent but as I prob wont get anywhere near the target (not being negative just realistic) I should think that paying a big chunk off the credit card would be a good idea....doesn't exactly motivate me but needs to be done.
