16 listings on Play.com now :) I'm finding pricing a bit tough to decide what to ask though so settled for £5 uk and EU 7.50 .. too much ? <dunno> I've checked a couple books and I'm not the most expensive so thats good.

Time to wake OH up and the cats up (yay they finally shut up whining for food and are now 35mins late asking for their supper!), I need a cuppa
  • Turia - same here really I had a pretty good job in the civil service pre first child and I went back when he was 6 months but found it hard then and that my motivation had totally changed so when voluntary redundancy came up few months later I grabbed it with both hands. I have worked pt intermitently since but cant settle to anything, have had a few pt jobs and own business (but that made a loss so I shut shop after 6 months as I couldnt afford to keep throwing money at it while it picked up (or not!)) and now have a 9 month old too so not working again, but tbh if my other half could earn enough to keep us all without a struggle then I wouldn't work as such....suppose we are both quite traditional in that respect.
  • anyone had any mad money making ideas? Just thinking of when we were kids and lots of people used to do homeworking....my mum had us making christmas crackers one year....and felt pens the next!!! lol. It was a mare, boxes of crackers piled up everywhere, like a production line (even had grandparents involved) and for what?? Prob about 10p a box! And don't get me started on the felt pens, remember they were orange as orange ink everywhere!!!
  • The summaries of why we're doing this is a great idea, I'll post mine tomorrow - might have cranked my brain into gear by then. Plus the snoring cat is putting me off.

Drink - I don't know if we can turn this to your advantage, but there are loads of goth and alternative shops here in Barcelona.
  • Ok - need to regroup the serious side for a minute.

Amber - you're the boss. What do you think about numbers? Keep the original list and add people to it, or reassign numbers, or not bother and have a free for all?

Loving the reasons behind the challenges ! Makes me want to do the challenge 50 times over for all of us.

Also need clarification on the thread. Are we now officially 2 seperate threads? I assumed we would pop over to bing0's for ideas and serious stuff, and pop into here for chat, thus all being one big family but with different needs. If people want this to be for all ideas and chat, do you want me to rename it? The title of the thread was just a childish kneejerk reaction to the other titled thread. :D

    Advice people

Oh, and welcome to the newbies - never to late to join in. Some great advice flying about the place, somewhere....
    VR repayment  £404  £156.02 PAID

    Airpods repayment £144 £99.01 PAID

    Capital One £1400
  • I dunno, I spent alot of my time in the union spring/summer term, it was a procrastination instead of revising move so you may still be in luck....we had sales different times of year so not only freshers that was just my example!!! You'd do well around Halloween too I suspect...they could get their costumes then esp if you could re-vamp (lol) them a bit to make unique Halloween outfits! But in general think alot of students like to do the goth dressing thing or even expand into vintage, you could put up some ads/posters in the unis and colleges too linking to your website or ebay etc...am sure they would let you.

Writing all these down and putting them in my business folder on my laptop so I don't forget. These ideas are great cheers :D. This is why I like the chatter!!!
  • exactly, that idea (a good one if I dont say so myself) came out of you mentioning the goth clothes in general chat......so there is a place for it me thinks, though suppose not going ott is also a good idea so we all got room to still post and look at ideas for making our 10k's!!!

MMTWGR - I dont think we need numbers to be honest, if people want to join in then they can do, "you're more than just a number" (cumberland building society advert)
  • and the number thing is alot of work...........isn't it?
