The proofreader in me went  at reading that listing ... the grammar, the horror ...

How did you get to be a proofreader? Have always fancied it but never thought I could go for it - you have to pay to train don't you? And whoever thought it was mine, I thought it was sweet you put such a positive comment - so in keeping with the general feel of this thread :)
Have you seen how few comments Bing0's thread's got? I guess that's what he wanted though :p I also keep wondering if he's going to pop back and tell us it was all a test and we've passed by being so positive and supportive...or maybe not...:rotfl:
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Or anyone who thinks they will accomplish it?

We all will :j(on this thread) - we've generated a lot more 'serious ideas' on here than on the 'serious ideas' thread. Not that it's a competition. Just ironic.

    Think £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ :T
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    :D

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
    And then do it.
  • Still stuck for what to buy, you know how when you guys say "Research, research, research" What tpye of research is this? And what is the best ways to go about it?
Live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away

  • Yep... Indierocker I am going to do it..... doing another bootsale tomorrow:eek: and my first vintage fashion fair is in march... my vinatge clobber had the thumbs up from the organiser... so cant wait.....

Allways think you are going to do it or achieve it... as if you think am i going to do it, or i dont think i will be able to manage it, then you wont do it...

' so come on...... get those positive vibes...vibrating around this thread'

ok.. i know i have left myself open for rude comments there:rotfl:

  • I got into it through contacts, Paula - you can do courses but most of them are rubbish (eg the ads you see in the papers). From what I hear, it's not an easy field to break into, but it helps if you have experience of a particular subject. For example, if you've worked as a nurse you could proofread medical texts.

The rival thread has dropped down to page 2 - yes, no chat, but no ... well, no anything really (stop gloating Amber ...)

Does anyone know how you find out about bootsales in your area? Is it local papers/advertising, or is there a dedicated site somewhere? Have googled but not really found anything yet :)
Part time GCer, NSDer, Comper and (Bad)Flylady :o
A big shot is just a little shot that kept shooting ...
