Discussion thread about Tesco voucher acceptance

Never written anything on a web site so I hope I do it alright! A couple of weeks ago I went into my local Tesco and tried to use one coupon without purchasing the product. The supervisor ran up to the checkout and asked the cashier if I had given a coupon and then said I couldn't use it. She didn't even ask if I had bought it. I said that I thought you could use one complimentary coupon and she told me that I couldn't in this store and that I had been told about this before. I hadn't but I just paid and left. Yesterday I bought toiletries and proffered the vouchers and she pounced again and asked the boy whether I had bought the items. I told her I had but she wouldn't let me use them. She was really rude and I got a bit cross and chucked all the toiletries on the belt and told her to void them off. Have written a complaint letter today. Used vouchers in anothe Tesco today and they were fine.

Hello crimsonmaj and welcome to MSE :wave: sorry to hear about your experiences too, it really is hit and miss unfortunately with the vouchers but keep trying and just try to avoid the crabby supervisor.
