I don't think I OH could cope with a Homebirth - nowhere for him to run to if he needed to!
you're amazing Glam! I wasn't letting DH go anywhere! He needed to wee at one point and I nearly made him tinkle into the pool in front of the MW so he wouldn't leave the room! :rotfl:

Has anyone ever gone swimming and left LO in car seat near the side?
I really want to go swimming but without Jack but have no-one to watch him. I was thinking of seeing whether I could pop him in his car seat (Around nap time) and put him near the benches on the side of the pool but didn't know if this was a bit dodgy in any way.

B U G G E R just got filtered out but not ARSED! What's that all about?
How about !!!!!!ed? Nope, I'll stick with arsed then.
It's jab day for us too. 12 week ones...it's a shame really as Henry has been in such a good mood the last couple of days.
Woohoo...my OH now has 4 days off having worked the last 8! I've missed him so much, but he's all mine (and Henry's) once he gets up today. And he's said he'll do a 5am feed for me and get up with Henry so I can properly sleep through :T.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Some of us have been up for five hours already
A noble goal.
Don't say that, if the Germans hear it they'll be giving me those instead of ibu the next time :rotfl:

If I could get my phone to stop thinking it's 1998 and actually be a camera phone I'd take a picture of the baby herbal teas at the supermarket.

Hey! Kristal
long time no speak:hello:
short answer: Nope!
long answer: no base padding, and even camping mattresses underneath pool with Fergie still left me with no sensation in my kneecaps for a fortnight after Ferg
also liking the idea of thermometer, because we were only allowed more hot after MW was willing to test temp of water. And I really felt the need of the extra hot!
Also read that you can actually bite the sides of a birth pool, but the argos one will puncture!
Obviously, needs must and all that, and if in a rush I'd just have to squat down by my sofa and cope! But I'm trying to choose something to make it all as ok as it can be if poss? Does that make any sense?

Umm, I'm thinking no! Much as I like the idea, what if some weirdo walked off with him? Could you not go once OH comes home from work?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

He was with me for the monitoring between 3am and 4am and moaning 'This better not be a false alarm' (bearing in mind I was contracting from 1am but left him in bed while I had a shower and packed my bag). He got sent home around 4.30am (I think) to 'get some sleep'. I called him at 6.20am screaming 'The baby's coming, get back here now' To which he replied '!!!!!!, I've only just got back to sleep' He turned up at 7.10am (cos he washed his hair before he left ) Did the necessary hand holding, back rubbing & giving me sips of water and Jack was born at 8.17am.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Yeah that's what I was thinking but then didn't know if I was just being overly paranoid
Not an option unfortunately, wanted to do the free swimming which is in the next town over so would be rush hour and take forever.
I'll see if one of my mates could have him and then I'll return the favour.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I can't wait to go for a proper swim. I'm taking Henry on Friday with a Mummy friend, but that's more splashing about than swimming. Might go on my own while OH is off actually. Maybe on Thursday afternoon when the in-laws come to visit :rotfl:. They must think I am so busy as I always have to go somewhere when they come to see us :rotfl:.
Urgh, speaking of which I have to cook for them. I was going to make Weezl's delicious Thick Onion Tart but my MIL doesn't eat eggs or onions...could I pretend I forgot?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
