    awwww :( sorry.

Is that because you've had one section full stop, or is it because of the reasons for the section IYSWIM?

Thank you! I've been a bit nervous about ebay having experienced big delays before in recieving things.

If it was a netmums person who I could actually get to say a postage day then I think that might be better for me.
You could message people on eBay before bidding to make arrangements about postage. One time my brother needed some random piece of camping or climbing equipment just before he was going away and he massaged a seller who had the item and got them to change it to BIN and post it straight away.

Another potential option is to ask someone who is collection only but not local whether they would be happy for you to arrange a courier to collect it.

Obviously I don't know anything about your CS reasons or about how the system works in Germany but it is possible to have HBACs. (Not saying you should - just that it's not automatically impossible so if you really wanted it, it might be worth investigating.)

I think I'm the only one who wasn't given any proper pain relief afterwards so I'm looking forward to not trying to medicate my sliced abdominal muscles with OTC ibuprofen.

Ah yes.. :( Morphine all the way here! :o Mind you, not sure if you get that with a planned no-probs section where I'd obviously want to BF straight after..

Is it possible to bring other things into the country from England or would that be illegal?

Weezl - nothing on my Netmums.
Have you thought of posting a Wanted on Freegle? On ours you can post wanteds for hire stuff so you could say you are looking to hire one and someone might come back and say they are happy to sell theirs.

Choppy - poor night here too. Jack was up at 2.50am, 4am, 5am, 5.30am, 6am and 6.30am YAWN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just gave him his dummy and a back rub and he went off again but very tiring.

Right, must get on with my huge list today!

SS - you were up early!! I will more than likely have to have a hospital birth again as I will probably develop the GD next time.

Not a particularly nice topic of conversation for this time of the day, but I had this during my c-section, and oramorph for 48 hours after and I was able to BF straight away. My pain relief in hospital was great, I was in very little discomfort (sorry SS) and up on my feet the same day. I'm relieved to think I have the option of a planned c-section, but not sure I'll have one, IYKWIM. My current thinking is that if I go before 40 weeks I would try for a VBAC since that would be very different from my induction at 42wks last time, but if I get to 40wks with no baby, then I would have a planned c-section rather than play the induction waiting game again. I have no idea whether a consultant would agree to that though :o.

Sold on Fentanyl!! I'd make a heroic attempt to smuggle it out of the UK if necessary.

My C-section was because my labour was mismanaged and Molly went into distress, but I was induced at 40+5 because there was almost no amniotic fluid left and I wouldn't be inducable (is that a word?) a second time because of the risk of rupture.

Still, Weezl's due a lovely baby and a lovely birth and that's super awesome. I'm happy to let her have all the good-birth dust I missed out on the last time.

  • Weezle, was the argos pool no good? They have piles of them reduced in the Argos Bargain Clearance shop...

I have a man coming today to measure up the windows... Can't even get to the bedroom window for crap in the way at the minute... I'm very annoyed with hubby who absolutely promised the week before last that we would tidy the bedroom last weekend and move some of the furniture like I've been asking him to do for weeks... And now I'll be doing it all myself whilst looking after both children because he couldn't be arsed to drag himself off the xbox ALL weekend...

Sounds like strong stuff :) I really do wish I had the guts to do it all myself (huge credit to the home birth contingent!) but the thought really does make me all squiffy (mentally and physically) _pale_

    Morning all.

Weezl I've just checked Merseyside net mums again, nothing. :(

Elle I'm like you, I love the idea of a home birth, but i'm too much of a scaredy cat. :o Maybe if i'd already had three simple, 10 minute 'cough and its out' type births, I might be a bit braver. :)

Poor SS I had a morphine watch after my C/sec with J. It was great. :blushing:
Although after I had V (lovely, quick, normal birth), and I was feeding her, the afterpains were horrendous and the nurse gave me two paracetamol! :(
