  • Morning all. Pancakes on the go here :) I've not caught up on anything, but I hope everyone is ok. Tara I sent you a fb message.

I've woken up feeling a bit under the weather, but I don't have time to be ill. Paracetamol and ignoring it til it goes away. That is the solution :)

  • I got DH to make the batter last night :) I'm doing 2 with lemon and sugar to start with, and if Izzy doesn't like them I will eat them both and do her one with jam or nutella or something instead. (If she does I will have to share and make another one anyway!)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I might be told with a weeks notice, but more than likely will be told on the Friday that I am leaving on the Sunday night :(
Still dont know where I am going to either !!!
That's shocking. I can understand that in some jobs (e.g. emergency services) people might have to go somewhere at very short notice but I can't see any reason why a bank sending you on a training course can't plan it in advance.

Susan - wow, a helicopter in your house! Was it a full-sized one? :D
I'm assuming not as he managed to fly out of the front door when I told him to.

Weezl, I can't remember if I said I was pleased you don't have any clots and astonished that you're already 34 weeks. Time goes SO FAST.

Thank you (and to everyone who's wished me well :))

and speaking of things to do and Kester's imminent arrival, I think having exhausted all our cheaper birth pool options with less that 3 weeks to go til a homebirth could occur, I think I'll need to go with plan B.

Elle, is it your local mumsnet/netmums that you saw one for £120? I'd really love a linkie/phone/number or sommat if not! Also going to PM sarah joanne.

Erm, SJ or anyone else, I'm afraid I don't actually know SJs birth story :o because I've been avoiding birth stories for a bit after reading a horrendous one and scaring myself too much. So it may well be that it could be a bad idea to ask SJ for hers, in which case I am hugely sorry, but I think I'm going to go for it anyway?:)

    Overthinking it weezl?

    Heavens yes!

Weezlie, baby Alfie turned back to back at the last minute so SJ went into the hospital instead of her planned HB. But they were both fine (forceps delivery but mum and baby home v quickly and all proceeding well).

Also, look. There are a few on ebay, I don't know where you are precisely to locate by postcode but this is on the slightly expensive side from the looks of it because it includes a postage rather than a collection option.

Thank you! I've been a bit nervous about ebay having experienced big delays before in recieving things.

If it was a netmums person who I could actually get to say a postage day then I think that might be better for me.

I can just see myself in my current frame of mind getting angry and tearful every day it didn't arrive else! :o I don't know if that makes any sense?

But I can search my local ebay listers and then pick up, that would alleviate my anxiety.... Thanks :)

Yup, it was Netmums but I've just checked and the ad has gone now :(

    Morning all,

Asked OH to wake me up before he went to work this morning. He did, but at 7.30am... he's supposed to start work at 7.20am! Oops! :o

We have an eye check up this morning, when no doubt Rhys will continue to look cross-eyed all the way through and not straighten his eyes out like he has been doing a lot of just lately! Nothing invasive, it's just getting him to follow toys from right to left etc. It least it's out of visiting hours so parking should be okay :) I know from FB one of the nurses who looked after Rhys a lot is working today so we might call in the Neonatal unit if we have time too :)

    Hope everyone is well xx

I get that way without being pregnant - as soon as I think something should have arrived I get upset that it hasn't because I hate the idea of having to chase it up.

Are they cheaper to rent, maybe? Or is that not a good idea?
