For the baby wearers who wonder about where to put baby- this sort of thing may be useful once they are a bit bigger.

They look really easy to make too if you are skilled in the sewing department. TBH with DD I didn't have any probs, I would put her down on table/ chair until she could sit up at 4 months. She never really bothered much with rolling though as she could sit iyswim. I would just put her on floor then (I also don't really care about the germs! Ooops!) Most stuff though you soon get the hang of doing it 1 handed, and I never bother trying stuff on when in the shop I take it home to try!

    Morning all..

Odd night with Rhys - he kept waking up, letting out a big cry and looking really scared :( Just putting his dummy back in would settle him again, but the scared look was a bit worrying :o Brought him into our bed for a while and he had five minutes of patting the duvet (odd things amuse him at 3am, clearly!) then went back to sleep and he's still asleep now (think we had one dummy reinsertion at 5am) *confused*

Weezl, hope your scan goes well and it turns out to be nothing :o
:T Fab news fairdawn for Oscar getting signed off by the hospital :D

Physio this afternoon for us, follwed by a trip into work and then back here to see FIL hopefully (if his meeting doesn't drag on) :)

Hope everyone has a good day xx

  • Good morning.

Sending Best Wishes to Weezl. And hugs to Caz.

SM you mood seems to have dipped some since last night. Sugar high worn off?

Am still well Peed off with OH. Major silent treatment going on in our house. Also pettily did washing yesterday, and didn't do his. He is off work today, but his work pants and shirts are all still at the bottom of the laundry basket :p. And i feel quite satisfied with myself.

Didn't sleep much last night, due to Alex's usual restlessness and my own due to having flipping Vampires and Werewolves running round in my head half the night. I am upto a very good part in "Eclipse" in the Twilight Saga. And my brain seemed to want to play out its own scenario of what would happen in the book. Thought reading before bed was supposed to be relaxing.

I am ashamed to say that I have today let Leila watch cartoons (well, CBeebies) for the first time in her little life. I realised the other day that she's 8 months old and has never seen a children's programme. I feel like I have deprived her! So I can give her a crash course in children's programmes, what programmes do your little ones like? She's currently watching 'I can cook'!!
The first time Alice watched TV she was a similar age. We sat and watched Bagpuss because she was ill but she wasn't that interested. I think she was around 18 months before she stopped just wandering away to play if I put something on. The only contemporary children's TV programme Alice has watched is Charlie and Lola which she loves and I can thoroughly recommend. I especially like the fact that it portrays a positive sibling relationship.

It doesn't get any easier either. 9 year old girls are particularly horrible and when it's L's turn to be left out of something, it breaks my heart. :(
Is she in Year Four by any chance? Year Four girls are always the worst for that but it does improve.
