We didn't, because we didn't expect to be here, and we're really going to be reliant on a new bilingual playgroup opening Plus all the best preschools are tied to churches and if you're not registered to pay the church tax (10% of income depending on income level) you're not even eligible.

Meeting this morning and then another at 12:30, hmph.

I would ask as it varies from nursery to nursery.

In our village only the Catholic school has a nursery and the other school just starts from reception. You have to put their name down when they turn two and they sort lists in the May before they start. They try to put children who are likely to go to the Catholic primary in the morning session and other children in the afternoon, so the class all move together into full time school.

Charlotte should be starting in September. It's a nice nursery and they pop over into school for PE and IT lessons, and to watch TV or use the library and attend special assemblies like the harvest festival and the carol service. They get really used to the school and it's not so scary when they start full time. The two nursery teachers started together when the school opened in the late 70's and they still teach together!

Wow its quiet this morning !! And I may have said goodnight and morning on the same page !!

Well me and Dylan are up and dressed, he has had his bottle, and I am about to get his porrige ready, then I need to get everyone else up as OH is getting his wisdom tooth out this morning !!

Have a nice meal out tonight Bruno, I bet your mum is excited at keeping E for you too

She's actually turning up after he goes to sleep, she's having supper out with a local friend first! I was quite surprised she's turned down the chance to come earlier - I reckon it's because she'll then angle for a daytime visit in the next few days :eyeroll:
Which is fair enough really!

I have no idea if I should be looking into nurseries yet... I suppose I ought... hmmmph. One more thing on a to-do list that is not written down and way too long!

Aless, does your church have any specific groups for Mums and babies? Our church has a mum & baby group plus a daytime study group for Mums whilst church volunteers stay with the babies.I have recently made some lovely friends in this group :grouphug:

Hey Bruno, thats my to do list too !! I know I should write down everything that needs to be done, but then I would feel obliged to actually do it !! I'm happy with my way, I can accidentally forget some things lol

morning .. not on long i got the docs in 45mins then my driving lesson at 12 then got fun and games later as that girl is coming over .. she asked if she could bring her son up for an hour as hes been asking for zoe i told philip up to him as i dont care i'll be polite but apart from that im not making small talk .. go in another room or talk the dog for a walk x

morning. Who was asking about sleep? Sleep? What's that. I'm shattered! Really frustrated as thought they were supposed to sleep better after 6 wks and it seems like he's gotten nothing but worse. Why did last night have to be so bad (omg, i think i got like an hr) when my MIL is coming over n i have to b with her all by myself??

Thx hammy, i didn't really think of that. We're quite new to our church so have met very few ppl there so far. and haven't been since finn was born.
