Glam - I went to bed at 12.15, woken by Henry at 12.30, OH took him into our bed, awake to feed WG at 3.15 and then woken up by Henry at 6.30 to get ready for nursery.... wow managed about 5½ hrs last night

Off to do shopping today for a few bits - blinking cold here though and we had about ¾" of snow yesterday as well

All the fibre? OH looked at Molly this morning (after sleeping on the sofa all night and getting a blissful 7 hours while I was up once an hour and then had to come to work today and function) and commented, Oh, she has cereal on her face from last night! Well effing wash it then...

And he refuses ever to pick out her clothes because one time he put her in stuff that didn't match and I laughed at him. So I'll get home and she'll be in her sleepsuit. Hmph.

Actually I'm just peeved at work. After spending 90 minutes of wasted time yesterday I'm now stuck here for 40 minutes faffing because the arbitrary deadline I set is approaching and there are some people who haven't taken my subtle "your procrastinating means I have to work harder" hints and are procrastinating. So GRR. And I've just added two sentences to a project description on our website to clarify something that didn't need to be clarified but it was *requested* so I did it. Grr, hmph and :mad:

Oh, and I'm hungry because the tram was delayed so I didn't get to run to the bakery before my meeting - and the tram was delayed because some muppet shovelled the snow from off their car onto the tram tracks :mad:

nurseries rang... going to visit one on tuesday, nearest one to us
another one are ringing me back....we'll see
and one i;ve to ring back next week as the manager is on annual leave.

Glam, fab that you're thinking about church - it can be a big step for some ppl. Are you looking for traditional CofE or something more contemporary (there can be a big difference, but I do realise the lively, live band, praise songs of contemporary worship aren't for everyone)? Guess only advice would be not to lose heart if you don't like the 1st place you go to - there's SO much choice and variety out there nowadays that ppl shouldn't feel restricted to only what they were brought up with. Being brave & adventurous can actually lead you to making interesting discoveries about yourself.

Gosh, that really sounded preachy, didn't it? Sorry .

ooo jillie, scary! I'm still pertified of when my turn comes around in several months.

Beenie - newborn nappies are designed to deal with frequent poops
active/natural fit - are supposedly fitted and good for crawling etc.
super/baby dry are 'night time' nappies meant to absorb wee all night

I use super/baby dry all the time though, newborn needed changing about 3 times in the night and Chris is allergic to active/natural fit so I haven't bothered trying Ed with them

Thanks Sami, god how confusing, i'm on newborn atm they seem to soak up her curry sauce poo quite well. Does anyone have preference towards Huggies or Pampers? If so why?

I hated Huggies with DS for some reason but with Amber i didn't like the mesh top layer on Pampers cos it sticks to her skin when it's got poo on. Also don't seem as stretchy, but i'm only basing that on New Baby ones, so i'm wondering when/if i should try them again now that she's bigger... Prefer the velco type tabs on Huggies too as opposed to sticky on Pampers...

Glam, I agree with Aless, just pop along and see how you feel about the place
I have beliefs but I don't really know exactly what they are if that makes any sense, so I don't feel like I need to go to church all the time but I do enjoy going and it can be quite cleansing when things are happening that are out of your control, like when my Gt Gma was ill I went to church every week. I can't explain why but it made me feel more comfortable with the situation.

On a different note though, if there are any church schools near you, have a look at them online and see what the admissions criteria is, one near us requires you to have gone to church twice a month for 2 full years previous to applying (in jan/feb of the yr that child would be starting in sept) so if you find a church you like you can start getting your stamps now.

HV has phoned and gave me a councelling service for him, he has app on tues so i hope things go better and he gets the support he needs!

im due my depo next week and have been up all night with the worst stomach cramps ever??? even now im still crunched up to make it go away.
