Hmmn interesting. I had the copper coil in for 6 years and it was fine for me s o was planning getting it again.

Hadn't thought about the mirena one cos i don't like the idea of hormonal contraception (spots, weight gain, mood swings as possible side effects), but if it stops periods i could be convinced into trying it!!

    Oooh thank you:)

I am not good with hormones, which is why I would need the IUD:)

Thanks guys, I'll take a wander past tomorrow and get the phone number off the poster then! This one also appeals cos its also really close to the CM, so will be easy to co-ordinate nursery, CM and work IYSWIM.

I'm off to bed, OH has just texted me to say there is a small snotty child in our bed so I need to stake my place before I get relegated to the sofa for the night... night all xx

Night Em - No fighting with the snotty child now, you just squeeze in on the edge;)

I'm off myself now, thanks for the coil chat and hopefully I catch mfd tomorrow so I can get her to lookup something in Which....I'm pretty sure she isn't busy lately;):p

Em a montisori nursery will get booked quickly so I'd go with Mel :)

Mel it's really not a big deal having it in :)

Some people will say it gives you heavier periods but i'm not sure on that one mine were quite heavy anyway although not painful - no diff with the coil. Although the first one after having it put in was like a bloodbath but sure that's not normal lol.
