I wasn't induced second time around and baby was in distress. No one can say for 100% what has caused the distress

    Evening all

Just a quick update from me.

C is now in her own room. The first night (Sunday night) was not the best - more to do with me lying there watching her video monitor til 3am cos I missed her/was worried - daft I know. Needless to say I didn't make swimming with NMS:o.

Last night was much better. She went down at 8 (fed her and when I put her down she woke up but I put her music on and she was asleep before the first tens mins was up:j) woke at 11, 1, 3 and 6 then I brought her into our bed til 9. Each time she woke I fed her and then put her down and each time it only took the tens mins for her to drop off (bit of crying/whinging each time but no screaming). Just hope it continues and, when I start to wean her, the frequency of wakes/feeds drops off.

NMS - next Monday is booked up? Might try to get there this Friday again and ask them to let me know of any cancellations for Monday.

Get stronger vibes for Tara's DGD,thinking of all the family, hugs for MM and anyone else who wants one

I mean unassisted as in no forceps, induction, internals. I don't mind midwives being there, but want them to only touch me as a real last resort.

My midwife was lovely, she asked me if I wanted 'touching' ie back rubs or anything else and I said no.....I am like an animal when in pain I sort of go away into a corner alone to deal with it by myself and I hate anyone near me....She was lovely, just basically let me get on with it. At one point she was saying I should have been pushing but I could feel that it wasn't quite time, she didn't panic me or rush me just stood back and watched and encouraged when needed.

It was the trainee midwife I had to tell to get the hell off me when she kept pulling on the cord to get the placenta out, It was agony...I could feel it was still very much attaced and as soon as I felt it come away I pushed it out myself....the other midwife was very impressed and exclaimed that 'mum's body knows' although I don't entirely agree as I would never have been able to do that with the first two.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

And here I will end as I can't see the keys properly to typr.

Susan I'm sorry you're so sad you can't see the keys. You are my friend and I'm sad that you're upset.

I think we do all know that you are someone with lots of integrity who takes time to think about what she writes, and is gentle whilst still having views.

You are a very popular poster and we all really like reading what you think, I know I do. :)
