Did you have pre-eclampsia both times? It is interesting to compare these things, I don't know much about those who had babies after me. I must re-read the birth stories thread. I also worried about it being because he was earlier than I thought, but I notice your LO most certianly wasn't early!

No Eclampsia first time only with induction
Second time BP fine but baby in distress. I have read somewhere I don't remember where that it is quite common for late babies to be in distress whether induced or not which makes me question if it is the 'lateness' that caused distress or the induction due to lateness that causes distress. You with me?

My midwife was lovely, she asked me if I wanted 'touching' ie back rubs or anything else and I said no.....I am like an animal when in pain I sort of go away into a corner alone to deal with it by myself and I hate anyone near me....She was lovely, just basically let me get on with it. At one point she was saying I should have been pushing but I could feel that it wasn't quite time, she didn't panic me or rush me just stood back and watched and encouraged when needed.

Ooo this is just like me. Bless DH was trying so hard to be helpful when I was at home, but it was best when he was off in the other room trying to get the kitchen sorted before going to the hospital! All the MWs seemed amazed that I barely made a peep the whole time, but I retreat within and go really quiet when in pain, which I guess is the opposite of most women compared to what I see on birthing shows! Considering I pretty much had an all-natural, practically unassisted (wasn't touch except for 1 VE) birth by accident rather than design, I'm definitely going down that route again except at home this time! :T

Was Supernanny good? GOing to watch tomorrow on 4OD. GISI, have you recognised anyone yet? :D

Can we go swimming every day? Finn is out cold in his basket with zero fuss!! :rotfl:

tara, I'll be praying for Poppie & DD too. :( Bless the little ones that have to go through so much so soon.

I had no eclampsia, no induction and he arrived two weeks early in distress. Bizarre!

Sami I was wondering where you were. :p

If this dark haired woman is on her 4th, wouldn't you think she'd be a bit quicker?
