Shall move on after one last summing up? I know breastmilk isn't of great significance in most lives, but it really is the only thing I can do 'right'. It is the only thing I've ever succeeded in, that I can be proud of, the only think that isn't a failure. That is why it is a big deal to me. I've got no problem with formula, formula feeding or anything, no negative feelings, in most cases it is the right and best thing. I'm sorry for projecting my failures on to others, and hurting people.

Feelie That would be impossible! There are too many different types of parenting, and although, for example, you & I might do some things totally differently, we probably also do some things the same! Plus I love to hear how other people do things so I can steal the good bits.

Those of us with older children will tell you that government advice has changed so many times over the years that we listen to it all but then make our own measured intelligent decision.

There were a couple of people on that thread (noone from here btw) who have very strong views on their type of parenting while they're 6ish months into the job of being a Mummy. I'd love to read their posts in 10 years time, with a couple more children to see how much they've changed/relaxed their opitions.

My Baby has gone to MIL's for the day to refuse to eat her dinner and be fed Skips and milky buttons instead. She's so clever already knowing how to work Nanny.

I am listing the next box of baby stuff on ebay. Its the summer stuff in 0-3 months, sorting through it has made me want my little baby back.

I suppose one way for the arguments and the problem of feeling ignored is to split the group down the middle based on parenting technique. That isn't very appealing as there as some here who I love very much despite being very, very different to me, but I can't stop thinking that it is the only solution. Perhaps I should start a 'banished' thread for those of us who cause offence and upset.

I have not posted here for a few days because of the general ill feeling that still seems to be around I wish I had a magic wand and could make everyone feel happy, unjudged, loved and appreciated

Oscar has Toby's trend setting leg warmers on today, currently in his jumperoo (best thing I have brought) squealing at everything.:rotfl:

Oscar has his appointment at the children's hospital today, so hoping to get signed off. Feel like they are just checking to make sure I am looking after him. .

I hope it goes okay, will be thinking of you. Is it awful that when LOs hand wouldn't stop bleeding, I really didn't want to take him to the hospital because I knew they'd blame me?

Other than wondering which side of the fence I sat, I've kinda ignored most of the recent discussions

Morning! I am quite happy to admit that I am sat here watching JK. (On delay, in case anyone wants to point out that it's just finished). Waiting for the Virgin tech to come and tell us that our box is perfect and the fact that it repeatedly crashes is our imagination. Docs this afternoon (Marley), then the NICU Parent Group meeting this evening.

With DS1 he had to go to hospital so much he was put on the ''at risk'' register, it was just because he was so clumsy (and still is now), thankfully his wife has the joy of clearing up after him now. :rotfl:.
