i used to 'buy in' too when it was new flavours that we were trying. then when LO got sick and went off food, i was making things from scratch and she was turning her nose up. tried buying in again, and she did the same (confused smiley)

had a bit of success tonight though. i cut up a bit of a banana into little cubes and fed them to her as she was moving around from toy to toy. she ate all that i had cut up. i then made her half a slice of bed with some philly cream cheese, cut that up and feed her and she ate nearly all of that.

she's normally only happy if she can feed herself but she doesn't like being in the highchair so things can get messy.

a middle ground perhaps.

Oh poor you. Did you not use the opportunity to tell him about my hubbys swoon-worthy behaviour the other day? I always do that! If one of your hubby's has done something lovely or has been a pig I tell hubby along with either lots of gushing about how nice that is or lots of tutting and saying I am glad he isn't like that Always worth trying to get the right messages across!!


Watched one episode of Lost, loved it but v confuzzled so don't want to watch the next one til I have rewatched the first!! But now I can't turn it off because hubby has set 2 things to tape *rolleyes*


Report from hubby is that his epidural is going to be in until Monday. Which means he will probably be coming home on Tuesday all being well. Typically I have a meeting in Warrington on Tuesday that I can't cancel so will have to arrange for somebody else to pick him up. He also text before to say that they have bizarrely shaved the top of his left leg

yay that he'll be home on tuesday, but boo you wont be there...just typical as you say.

hmmm...strange place to shave. did they have to tape anything i wonder to that spot?

Jam - is the pool quite echoy? It was that combined with the dryers that freaked her out.

(I was changing her nappy in a public toilet and someone activated the dryer and she had a complete meltdown, she was only 11 weeks)

LOL when I picked Benjamin up from the CM today she asked me if I would mind her stopping with the finger foods for a while and just spoon feeding (they have a spoon each) because Benjamin won't eat finger foods for her and she worried that he is not eating enough. If she spoon feeds him he eats really well.

I couldn't help laughing - he won't spoon feed with me for toffee!! He will have a little bit and then spits it out! I always have to make sure I have things he can feed himself!!

So CM asked if I want her to persevere if he is 'trying it on already' (her words LOL!) I said she should go with the flow and do whatever she feels best. As long as he is fed then I don't much care!! He is learning both skills so I am not bothered at all.

Have you tried laying her in the cot and then putting your face down near hers? You are quite tall aren't you? Because I am tall I can bend over the cot and kiss Benjamins face (and his eyes to close them LOL) and this makes life easier sometimes! Wait until she is doing the standing at the end of the cot and sobbing with tears and snot rolling like there is no tomorrow :rotfl:

Sorry, not meaning to make fun but sleeping is harder than feeding IMHO!! There are certainly plenty on here who have gone through the mill WRT sleeping xx



AF - I asked if it was where they put the garter when they made him do operating theatre can-can whilst he was under :rotfl:

isn't it amazing how they do things for one and not the other. we have little things too that LO will not do for me that she will do for MIL.

now, that rendition of the can can would be good to watch
