I would be happy to try both recipes . In the Borscht I would use vegetable bouillion instead of chicken stock which I guess would affect both the frugality and the taste, but I can give you my overall comments. Also, sorry if this is a silly q, but do you mean stir a blob of the I can't believe it's not butter into the finished soup? I will have to leave that out as I have a real problem with butter/margerine! It's one of my weirdisms but the thought of them is bleugh to me which is why I can't have shop bought sarnies or owt.

NMS - Monday should be good. Will have to do our 'homework' in the bath on Sunday lol. She didn't like the changing rooms though - screamed the place down before and after she was wet lol

Will try to get there early cos they turned people away again today - oh, did I say yes it was ducklings? lol

He's beating my Grandad - he'll "only" be 82 this year!! I don't think I've ever eaten trout before either. I'll have to get another one from him this year!

He can cook but hasn't done since OH started working!
I could murder a chinese or Indian but never ever offers! I cook 7 days days a week.

OH was funny the other day, moaning that the living room was a mess. I lost my rag and asked him if he realised that whilst Yes it was a mess, I had cleaned the bathroom, downstairs loo and kitchen (including floors) hoovered, polished and done 2 loads of washing all while looking after Jack. He soon shut up - seems they don't notice when everything is tidy but not when it's a mess!

Worth a try Might be OK when It's dry - I dropped my phone down the loo not long ago (was BEFORE I went :rotfl:) and it wouldn't work until it dried out properly. Works fine now

Oh NMS - we went swimming today. C loved it but had had enough after 45 mins so we got out. She was asleep before we got to the car in my arms - it's unheard of!!!

Will be tomorrow - cot doesn't fit through the door so has to be dismantled and is a 2 man (woman ) job.

J does the arm thing too but out the side away from me!

I just plan to follow our normal routine but rather than feed on my bed, feed him in the rocking chair in his room. I might stay in there with him for abit if he's unsettled.
Just need to work out where to put the monitor as he likes to fall asleep facing it to watch the light but his cot and the powerpoint might not allow.

Just going to nip to do his bottles for tomorrow then I'll be back!

I do homework on a Sunday too, I don't bath Liam that often and thentry to fit it in before the lesson :rotfl: Liam usually cries throughout getting changes after, cos he's tired and hates the fuss.

ETA: Just to warn you it's OAP swimming at the same time as Ducklings on Monday, so prepare your eyes!

MDW - no, we were there really early so the rooms were virtually empty. Can babies be claustrophobic (sp)? It was just in the cubicle she screamed. Luckily I was chicken and had taken Mum with me just in case but might try the family change on Monday (cos it'll just be me and NMS will have to pretend not to know me :-)) and see if that is better. TY

Was it from Argos?

The boy's have DS's with cover on. James dropped his getting out of the car and one of the screens broke. I took it back to Argos and just said the screen had broke, filled in my personal details on a form and they gave us a new one. They didn't even ask how it got broken and were more bothered because they no longer sell silver ones, so he had to have a blue one instead!

Glam - when you say he's a bit unsettled, C screams as soon as I put her down if shes awake. I sit with her and she usually drops off after 5-15 mins screaming but sometimes it can be half an hour. I hate it but as soon as I pick her up, she stops then starts again the second she is an inch from the mattress. It can only be for attention and I just hope she learns it's ok to go to sleep by herself, even if I have to sit there while she does it for the time being. Have I just got a clingy one (prob my 'fault' :-))
