thanks GISI, link to the Borscht recipe here, if you're interested. The chutney for the fritters uses the other half of the pickled cabbage, so you might like to make both to have less wasted ingredients?

Glad you liked all the [STRIKE]hairy daves[/STRIKE] nice parent club members :D

Yeah, rather risotto than borscht! And no worries about the pool, not sure how helpful it is as I didn't really do much research on them as I was buying from a friend of a friend who just never got chance to use it with her quick labour.

    Hi all,

We've had a lovely day chez Choppy. Caitlin's swimming lesson was cancelled as the teacher is poorly, so we're staying in. I've managed to get loads done, as Caitlin is in a good mood and she slept for just over an hour this morning!!!!!! (this is usually unheard of!), so I've done:

    - one load of washing and hung it on the airer to dry

    - made some bread

    - dusted the spare room, our bedroom and the landing

    - sorted out the hellhole that usually goes by the name of the cupboard in the spare room. We now have a shelf that houses all the towels, two shelves full of toiletries (we still have 14 shower gels left over from the Tesco voucher thing which I think ended around Christmas 2007) and a shelf of toiletry bags and gift sets that we've been given, along with my sewing machine that hasn't seen the light of day since before Caitlin was born.

    - looked into getting a new mobile phone as my one keeps cutting out whenever I call anyone. Except, I need to wait until DH is at home so I can borrow his phone to call Orange about upgrading because everytime I call them from my phone, it cuts out! I have a feeling it might have been in Caitlin's mouth a few too many times.

    - booked my eyes to be lasered for 25th March

    - sorted out hubby's underwear drawer

    - registered with mortage company so I can view our mortgage account online. Very depressing to see that we have paid less than £9000 off the balance even though we've given the bank over £37k.

    - booked an appointment for our house to be valued on Monday. Arrrgh!

    Off to catch up now!

    xxx

susan - think she was going to recommend I take some anti depressants (or something to help PND) so wouldn't be able to breastfeed whilst taking them.
Although sometimes it isn't possible, in general you should be able to get a medication which is BF friendly. According to Clinical Knowledge Summaries there are a number of safe anti-depressant options available during breastfeeding. Also more information about it from the Breastfeeding Network. Just thought I'd mention in case it's useful for anyone else as obviously it sounds like you're okay now. (And I would have expected a HV to be knowledgable about BF friendly ADs considering it should be something she deals with a lot.)
