  • Sami - very true I was taking so many supplement and prescribed tablets I rattled.

Got my letter for my annual GTT today, I think I'm going to find out how many days leave I've got left (leave year April to March) and take a full day off as I always feel rubbish after - I'm insulin resistant yet another consequence of PCOS.

  • Me and my sister were very much planned, more so my sister, mum and dad tried for nearly 7 years and mum had several proceedures to try to help and they had almost given up hope when she got pregnant with my sis, then a year later she decided to try again thinking it may take forever and got pregnant with me really quickly !!

I on the other hand was on the pill and had just bought a house when I got pregnant with Jas and although me and Chris had discussed trying for another cuz we knew it was going to be difficult due to a few things, we hadnt actually got round to me coming off the pill and yet still managed to get pregnant a 2nd time !!
Something tells me if I really dont want a third, I need to make sure every single pill is taken at the exact right time every single day !!

All of mine were planned, well ds1 I was on the pill but wasn't being very careful with remembering them;) ds3 I was beginning to give up hope of having, after 2 mc's and then not getting pg for ages, although I also went back on the pill for a while but was so ill on it I came off again!!

I don't know why I am having a gender crisis as I have always said I would love 4 boys.... And actually I still would, I think it is everyone else constantly pestering me and insisting I want a girl that is making me question myself?? I love kids, boys or girls and would happily give birth to many more as well as fostering or adopting...... Dh says I would be most happy in a farmhouse with acres of land and a load of free range kids lol x

Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • MM, I do take mine at the same time every night! I figure if I'm asleep I'm less likely to have a bad tum/be ill? I've been on this pill a whole year now and no baby number 3! (but I still haven't made an appointment to get more and I now have none left :o).

Mel, your 20w scan is soon isn't it? Maybe thats on your mind...did you plan to find out?

    xx
  • well I always took mine at night, but sometimes it was after dinner and sometimes just before I went to bed and then I did forget the odd night, and apparently you need to be very close to the same time ever day for it to be at its most effective !! But then also smoking decreases the liklyhood of the pill working, so I was never really 99% !!

DS1 was an 'Oh My God! What the hell? What? WHAT? Cripes! *hyperventilate* so... this is what happens when your pill packet looks like a polka dot scarf then... ' In fairness, I was told at 16 that I had a tilted uterus and wouldn't conceive without a little help. Plus, babies never featured in my life's plan. Plus I was 19.

DS2 was a very happy surprise. We had treid for 18 months and nothing happened, I was back on the pill 4 months and there we go. And I did take it properly that time because I started a new job.

Amber was a complete emotional rollercoaster and more of a shock. But a very happy little miracle. She was determined be here it seems.

DH was planned, as was his two brothers. And as was a fourth child after his mum was told NOT to have any more (she had a complication from high BP where the lining of her brain was being destroyed and had she continued with the fourth pregnancy would have ended up a vegetable and she knew that and still went and delibretly got pregnant).

I was a surprise. Me mam and dad had a casual thing, then they split up and he went and got married to someone else then my mum discovered she was 20 weeks pregnant. My dad only found out about me after he was divorced (6 weeks of married bliss) and my mums friend told him. My brother was planned though.
  • My brothers and I were all planned - I'm apparently the result of my mum getting drunk on whiskey Christmas '75.

Night all I have work again - boo!
