WM gorgeous pictures
I love the middle one!
MOTM I agree with you about vasectomy, it's too final to work for me. Even if we had 7 kids or more I'd still like OH the option of producing another - and me by association but it wouldn't be my reproductive capacity that was taken away.
Yay assisted Weetabix!
Thanks everyone for the pierced ears information, I'm glad I'm not overreacting. I was 8 when I got mine done, for Christmas, and I think I was old enough to understand the pain and make sure they were clean etc. But they still got infected, and I don't wear earrings at all any more.
I hope all the Daves had a good day talking about buildery things.

Have any of you ladies organised a Hen do recently? I'm co-organising my best friend's but am a bit out of ideas! We're doing dinner then a club then a hotel. So far we have planned novelty netball bibs with people's initials on as she's a netballer, but not sure what else to do!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

The way I look at it, is if Lucy and I had a child that was unplanned, we'd deal with it. Life throws up many difficulties, but i'd always like the option, even if nothing was planned. But as I say, it's down to individual choice and i've known people who've been snipped and i'm not aware of any that had regretted it at that point. I say spend less time in hospitals as possible!
I've never had an ear pierced and won't be starting now. Again, for me, it's personal choice. Youngest 3 haven't been pierced - they have yet to want too. Putting a baby through it, for me, is unacceptable.
Anyway I prefer clip-onsgigantic.com, £28 per ticket, £2ish fee, £5 parking.
Sounds reasonable. Forget the parking, I don't want to stay with the girls and listen to JLSLucy doesn't like them either, so maybe I can buy someone else a ticket to go with them

Susan, what about spatone for the iron? You just put them into orange juice. I loved the metallic taste when I was PG! They would help with the iron intake, not sure if they have anything else in them though.Mummy to

Hi all
Back from TC - was lovely to meet everyone - hope you all got home safe.
On the vasectomy chat - its not quite as final it sounds. OH had been snipped when I met him and had a reversal. I agree reversal doesn't always work but Charlotte is proof that it CAN. Hope it'll be ok for number 2 soon too

Yay for Kai's weetabix triumph. Whats he going to conquer next?!
I did think yesterday how easily food can become an issue for a little one. We went to a restaurant for lunch and Leila was sitting in a high chair (she's all grown up now!). When I tried to feed her from the spoon she closed her lips but if I fed her from my fingers she lapped it up. She seems to have some 'spoon' issues as she prefers to feed herself or prefers even more if we feed her by hand. I was thinking I dont want people thinking I feed my child like a dog by hand with scraps from my food!!!
I do give her a spoon to hold (but this is an instrument to poke mummy with or throw on the floor so when mummy bends down to pick it up one can grab a handful of her hair with grubby food covered fingers) but she just seems to dislike feeding from the spoon rather than feeding altogether. Any thoughts anyone?Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0
