good suggestions weezl...it seems to have worked, but only yielded about 1/2-1/3 a cup instead of the 1.5. I could supplement with HB egg as we have a glut of eggs at the moment, good idea!!

I'll blame baby brain for this one ;)

    welcome back karen!

am so glad you took that a good way :)

SJ, I agree, thanks for the MMR link, DH has been infuriated by the alleged link for ages, and was going to get fergie a bib from the 'bad science' website saying 'MMR is safe: tell your friends' but I didn't want to be quite so controversial in public :o

    hi everyone,

a flying visit (although trying to lurk at work) but with a question

Protein foods - I know the usual meat/fish/cheese but am looking for other ideas also. LO is a very picky (as in never wants to sit still to eat, not as such fussy) so need to try and fill her up (with the aim of it assisting us with her sleeping).

    Anyone have any ideas???? Weezl????

Hope everyone is having a lovely time at the meet.

I will come online tonight so i can post properly and catch up etc.

    (work is urgh!!!)

cashew nut butter spread onto rice cakes or used as a dunker for breadsticks?

I know some people are a bit  about nuts, but cashews are a pulse and not a common allergen at all. Another idea would be the same made with pine nuts (again, not a nut but a seed)

daal made with lentils and a touch of garam masala went down well with fergie, and red lentils are high protein...

chickpeas in a baby friendly hummous...

use egg to bind together little fingers of flavoured couscous shaped into little chipolata sized sausages and then cooked...

Will try to think of more!

    Sorry work is bad :(

I saw a documentary (either Panorama or Dispatches - can't remember which) about it ages ago (2005 or 2006) and the guy at the centre of it had shares in the companies which produced single vaccines so had a vested interest. I always feel the need to explain that that is not the reason why we haven't given Alice the MMR as I don't like people to be thinking it was for a different reason to the actual reason. I do think though that particularly when there is a family history of autism that it is understandable that people might be cautious.

    pesky horse....

Do you mind saying why Alice didn't?

Oh hang on! I think I remember, it's about the way it's tested isn't it? Using foetal material...

    Sorry bit forgetful.

I have been browsing through some photos on snapfish and as it is a little slow today due to many being Missing in action at the Trafford Centre. I thought i'd indulge myself and post some baby pictures of DS1 Joe. Now a big boy of 6.

ALex is the spitting image of Joe, except Joe has loads of red hair and Alex is a baldy with a red tufty at the back :D
