As far as I am aware, as Aless says, if babies can roll over then there is less chance of them suffocating so can lie on their sides/stomach. However, if it is only a small risk then really it's up to you if you are unhappy with your baby sleeping on his side. H sleeps on her back, and it's obviously preferable, but if on her front was the only way she wanted to sleep then I would probably take the risk.

P.S. I ordered the Chicco highchair from Argos!

Hiya everyone, Back from my mums now - wa really nice to get some tlc plus got to spend time with my sister and niece - glad I could reassure that the same things happened to me :)

Had a good cry on my dad's shoulder (believe it or not) and that helped a lot. Feel a lot better than I did, but have my HV coming to see me on Thursday so am taking a step in the right direction.

DH has been off yesterday and today so we have been out doing things which has been really nice. He is currently trying to set up an aerial in the attic so I have Tegan laying on a changing mat with a naked bottom. Ooops she just weed and it rolled off onto the carpet - that went the wrong way!! Found she is happy for ages lying with her nappy off whilst at my mum and dads. Best go make sure her clothes havent got wet.

Hope everyone else is ok - there is no chance I will catch up on the goings on over the last week or so.
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D

Leila has slept on her front from day 2. She seems to draw comfort from being able to hold the little gap between the matress and the cot bars and if she wakes up she'll reach out and grab a handful of cot sheet! I never worried about her sleeping on her front when she was tiny.

However, now the little booger uses it as an excuse to crawl about her cot in a fit of anger when I ignore her if she awakes at night. She now turns horizontally in the cot with her legs poking through the bars, puts her blanket in a ball, smooshes her face into it and goes back to sleep. I then have to get up everytime to move her so she doesnt wake up trapped between cot bars and suffocate herself in the blanket. So i'm now living to regret it!!!

Hi everyone by the way, I'm throwing a sickie due to lack of sleep (see above and repeat every night for the last week (not to mention the last 7 months)) xxxxx

    Welcome back Karen :)

Mookie, Molly arches herself backwards to sleep and it can be very scary looking. She'll also cover her face with a stuffed toy and I worry that she's going to suffocate, but I just wait till she's properly asleep and then remove it. It must be hard extricating Leila from the cot bars without waking her!

Today Molly is 26 weeks old, which is precisely half a year. Six calendar months will be on Thursday and we are celebrating it by going on a (work) trip to France.

Aww that is so cute! I wonder if I'm the only person who hopes Alice called her Daisy?!

One leg out (then pause to ensure still sleeping), remove other leg (pause to ensure still sleeping), then spin child on stomach (pause to ensure still sleeping), couple of pat, pat, pats to ensure continued sleeping. Simples!!!!

Happy Half-Year Birthday to Molly (time goes soooo fast) ( swap beer mugs for milk bottles for age appropriate smilie) xx
