On the vasectomy chat - its not quite as final it sounds. OH had been snipped when I met him and had a reversal. I agree reversal doesn't always work but Charlotte is proof that it CAN. Hope it'll be ok for number 2 soon too :)

Good to know for those who have it done.

    Right, dinner time.

Susan, what about spatone for the iron? You just put them into orange juice. I loved the metallic taste when I was PG! They would help with the iron intake, not sure if they have anything else in them though.
Thanks - that's useful to know about although given that iron tablets didn't appear to make any difference, it seems likely that it wasn't iron-deficiency anaemia. (Apparently around 85% of anaemia is iron-deficiency and the rest is other stuff.) I'm making a note of it just in case though.

Seth seems to dislike being fed with a spoon at the moment too, but its not negotiable for me until he is back at 100% I'm afraid! This morning I was a evil mummy, he kept putting his hands in his mouth and up his nose to try and get in the way of the spoon so I couldnt feed him, so I held them out of the way and he stroppy-cried cos he wasnt getting his own way :o so I put the spoon in his mouth while it was open and he decided he actually quite liked the taste and gave no more fuss for a few mouthfuls, then repeated :o I lost count of the amount of times we did it, but there is nothing wrong with him now except that he needs to start eating more! I felt awful, but I know I did the right thing, especially as when he'd eaten the bowl of food he cried for more! He has been a lot happier today for having a full belly, and has napped better for it too.

Thanks for the vasectomy thoughts. I don't really want him to get it done as I think he may regret it, if we did ever split up...or even if he just changed his mind!! However, he is adamant he doesn't want to have any more babies, ever, so really it is up to me now to think how I feel about that. We could use other methods but I started reacting badly to several pills so am weary about them now. I have a lot to think about really and feel quite confused about the whole situation..... He isn't rushing off to get it done so I have time to agree or not agree!!

Mookie.... He had curry and rice tonight, used his own spoon and I assisted with a seperate one to ensure he ate a decent amount:) I am pleased that I can broaden his meals now:)

Susan, I had iron tablets and they made me constipated, but I didnt know about lactulose and none of the MW's suggested it. I told them I'd rather be iron deficient than unable to go and therefore I was going to stop taking the supplements, and they gave me a months worth of trial sachets of the spatone, which was handy as I only had a month left at that point! My iron levels did improve to what they were on the tablets as well.

Mel, what curry did you feed Kai? I'd be interested in a recipe, if there is one, as I seem to have got stuck in a rut with Seth's food and want to broaden what he eats a bit!

Weezl, go you! I thanked it too, so I could see my name next to Martins :rotfl: it was a fab idea BTW, I'd definitely watch that!

Mooki - do other cultures use fingers to feed? I know some eat rice with thier hands. Personally, I don't mind Toby eating with his fingers, and I do feed him with my fingers instead of a spoon sometimes.
