Just a random thought but I've just noticed I haven't seen Krystal for a while. Have I just been missing her or is she away doing something I've missed?

    morning pinkpig :)

MFD texted her, she's good but having a nice bit of time in real life :)

  • Thanks Weezl, so the odds are really against it happening again. That must be good to know. I can't imagine how horrible it must be having HG hanging over you when you're TTC.

Weezl- FWIW I think how you are feeling is perfectly normal, especially as you've been poorly this week.

Beenie- could you join your local NCT? Mine is lovely- we have weekly tea groups in local areas, plus there is a tea group for lone parents which might be good for you as a chance to vent a bit. Membership is £36 a year, but only £2 (?) if you're not emplyed. Well worth the membership IMO since all the groups are free

Gap between pregnancies also changes the likelihood of recurrance.

Hmmmmn on closer reading, the journal article says gap between PGs only affects likelihood of HG if it hasn't happened in a previous PG. That's not really a recurrence then chaps is it?

    Silly medical researching types.

(unless they are sugarspun who is definitely not silly :o:D)

I'm not susan, but there's a 16% chance that a woman having HG in a first PG will have it again, or 10.5% if with a different partner.

:osorry that's not accurate, still reading the article (the abstract isn't a great summary!)

shall I just have a debate with myself online and bore you all rigid whilst we wait for the others to come back from the TC? ROTFL :)

Morning all, I have lashings of snow falling, it's making me feel soooooooooo cold.
Aiden and I were going to go for a stroll to see my parents neibour today but i think we will pass on that now. Waiting on the MW so thats a good excuse to stay in with the central heating(don't ya just love it lol)

Beenie Sorry the group was like that, perhaps you could look into something different, libraries usually have activities along with community centers, hope you dig out your socializing skill's soon.

I've got a hungry baby, Last night all he wanted to do was eat, had to give him an extra bottle in the night to settle him, he's feeding again now, one handed typing is fun.

Fitzio hope you feel better soon and get a good nights sleep tonight.
Weezle OMG 8 weeks to go, how time fly's.

Going to attempt a catch up...wish me luck.:rotfl:

    Morning all..

Odd thing this morning, I woke up to the sound of the toxic gas release siren from work! Never realised we could hear it all the way from our house - not sure of the distance but it takes me 15mins at 35mph to get there. Hope they were just having a drill and not that there has actually been a problem

Anyway, Rhys was the one who woke me up, so only went ten hours without a bottle this time. Bottle done and we're just waiting on the Weetabix now :) Then nap for Rhys, tidy up for me and off to Claire this afternoon - I've woken up with a stuffy nose this morning so we can be snivelly together! ;)

Hope the Daves have a good time and everyone else has an even more fab day! :p;)

Hello Three! Hope you and Aiden are doing well. If you are interested in a Scottish meet up, pm Scruffy and tell her where you are. She was trying to arrange something for next month maybe. We were thinking Edinburgh as it was central to most or easy to get to.

Susan - yeah I do ACV rinses sometimes as they get my hair quite clean, but I find ACV actually quite expensive to use too often! :p

weezl - actually, the shampoo-less method should appeal to your frugality ;). Commercial shampoos almost all contain sulphates, which strip the hair of all nature moisture and oils (that's how they clean it). It's a vicious cycle, b/c most conditioners contain silicones which is non-water soluble and therefore needs the sulphates to wash out IYSWIM. Eliminate the silicones from your conditioner (the ultra cheapy ones don't have the 'cones) and you also won't need the sulphates in your shampoo. Some people can get away with no shampoo whatsoever (and do a sort of 'wash' with their conditioner instead), but some (like me) need some sort of cleaning agent, hence the baking soda paste, apple cider vinegar, etc.

Sorry long-winded hair post that you're probably not even interested in!

(anyway, this routine was originally dreamed up for curly/wavy hair that is prone to frizz, but really can work for anyone)

I just found an article about assessing the impact of hyperemesis in pregnancy. They asses the physical impact using the "Pregnancy Unique Quantification of Emesis--PUQE score". :rotfl:

Duly noted, although I have been known to be silly.

we're all snotty and sick :( and I'm terribly jealous that you all get to do real life meetups and I have to live in Germany. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Hugs Beenie, what horrible ladies. Hmph to them.

    Feel better sparkle and Lexi.

Jealous of all you people with through-the-night sleepers.

Interesting Aless, I might experiment in that direction once my shampoo and two spare bottles have run out :)
(I stockpile Aussie cause you can't get it here)

Edit: Enjoy meeting, all you big hairy Daves :)

The NCT groups look even scarier cos i'd feel like i'd need to offer to hold one in my house and it's a scruffy council house lol.

It wasn't even a group that was on properly i don't think, they were all just waiting to be weighed. It wouldn't have been so bad if the HV had bothered to speak to me and maybe introduce me they must realise it's intimidating for us newbies. Also the other kids were at walking stage so i guess there'd be more to break the ice with, with the kids interacting, but Amber is so new that i have to do it myself lol.

Oh btw Amber weighs 10lb 4oz now :D
