I'm ok just busy at the moment We (me, boys n mum) went to get Chris's feet measured today but we didn't like the choice in Clarks - why don't they make smart shoes that aren't boring black school shoes :mad: so we decided to leave it and go looking elsewhere 2mo but it took 20 mins to get out of the carpark no obvious reason at all *humpf* we also realise that The Works shop is now 'Bank' we have no use for over priced clothing but lots for cheap books n stationary so we grumpy about that too.

Anyhoo anyone know what shoes mothercare sell, is it startrite or does it vary shop to shop?

Busy day at MFD towers. I picked DSS up at 10am this morning (hubby had an important meeting) and took him to our Saturday morning Little Stars Playgroup with us He was a darling, running around after Benjamin and my friends little girls so we mummies could have a coffee and a good gossip!!

Back home for lunch and then we were off into Birmingham to visit the Sealife Centre, which was fun but expensive!! They have a 4D film where the seats vibrate and wind blows and water splashes at you and Benjamin HATED it!! It was only 8 minutes long but we had to leave before the end because he was screaming his head off!! He did get a faceful of water though!!

Then home and pizza for dinner before helping DSS with his homework....he has to do a project on the victorian person of his choice and he has chosen Charles Darwin!! They are now trying to find easy to understand info about Darwin on the web

Just having a little lurky-time on the slow phone. Went out last night, which ended up a disaster and waste of money....wish we hadn't bothered!!

Hugs to those still poorly or having a bad time and yay to teeth and walking and other baby/children acheivements xxx

20mins to get out a carpark :eek: see sami thats the part im not looking forward to owning a car for ..

i dont buy clothes or shoes at mothercare as i cant afford them so sorry ma dear cant help you x

Sami our local mothercare has Clarks. I am impatient to get shoes for Izzy - she isn't quite walking on her own yet, but it won't be long before we want to start going to the zoo and things, and I can't keep her in the buggy all day even if she can't walk on her own. I think some wellies will be the order of the day soon if nothing else. I know they aren't very supportive, and so won't work as the only shoes she has, but as a short term thing where she will only be wearing them for a few hours a week I'm sure they won't do her any harm!

Our Mothercare does Clarks so I presume they all do?

hmm so maybe I made up the startrite thing :rotfl:
Chris's first proper shoes were 'crawlers' from clarks at about 8mths:o
