I don't think theres anything wrong with having separate financial products.
I think there is something very wrong when one half of a couple is siting with nothing after paying out for essentials and the other half of the couple has fags and drink and money to waste.
I agree completely.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Ouchie i slept through all my alarms this morning and didn't get DS to school til 9:40am :eek:
Seriously need to try and get Amber sleeping before 2am, i didn't realise how much it's affecting me, When ex was here i slept til about midday after a sleepy feed in bed, must have really needed it.
I'm thinking of buying a carton of formula today, and doing some mega expressing tonight because i think my supply is a bit low?? She just never seems satisfied, and i never feel full on a morning anymore. She's still munching her fists but it's more frantic than usual too, not sure why.
Off to booby group soon, and after Amber crying this morning in the rush to get to school she's now fast asleep and i need to get her dressed!! First though... food.
Weezl i've missed you :grouphug:0 -
If one person has debts or a bad credit record then it is best to keep all financial products separate. Also some people find that they can jointly manage the money between them better if they have separate money.I don't think theres anything wrong with having separate financial products.

I agree with Csh. I know not everyone works the same, but it really does surprise me the amount of married/committed people who seem to be completely separate with finances. I don't mean that people should not have their own bank accounts or that a credit card has to be in joint names etc. But I am continually amazed by couples who seem to have complete inequality. DH earns more than me but I could not imagine me staying in at the weekend because my wages have gone on bills and food shopping etc whilst he went out with his mates drinking. It's just alien to me personally. And yet I know so many people live like this and it's each to their own.0
