    Oooh, things I forgot.

NMS - Hope work goes well for you.
SS - Yay for Molly saying Mama!
MFD - Hope you feel more upbeat today.

Csh - Is Kieren's head going really flat? Holly has a slightly flat patch at the back and I asked the HVs about it a few months ago, but they weren't concerned. I think babies have to spend really lengthy periods in the same place for it to be a concern. My friend ordered a special cushion online from Sweden as she was worried about her little boy. I think it cost nearly £30. When it came, it was just like an ordinary cushion/pillow!! She used it in his playgym but thought it was no better than a normal thin cushion!

Showered and fed and H is napping.

It's my dad's 70th on Wednesday and I have no idea what to get him!!! Nothing like being organised is there? Going to Asda to see if they have a clown birthday cake for him and also for food shopping as having everyone to mine for dinner. And need to find a present too! Think I will get tickets for Strictly Come Dancing Professionals, but would like a little present for opening too.

And been looking online for personalised photo birthday cards, but there isn't much for a 70 year old grandad!

Lol SM. Your wages are like buses! It never works though does it? You will end up having to pay them back eventually!

Although DH went to a cash machine which was paying out double. I phoned the company to report it and offered the cash back. They couldn't have cared less and told me to drop it into a branch sometime! There wasn't one near us and they didn't even take my name or anything, so we kept it. I felt I had tried, and prevented them losing more money!

ETA - Hmm, probably shouldn't have confessed that as you will all think I am a bad person now! 3, please don't report me to your OH.

ETA, 3, could you sew on some buttons maybe?
I have actually done some. Button on one side, and a bit of buttonhole elastic on the otherside - both hidden where the metal bits had fell off from. Doesn't actually look too bad.
(I had a ton of buttonhole elastic from getting him cheap Primarni jeans and making them adjustable waist because trousers all seem to be made for large kids - and my J is in no way skinny but I was fed up of seeing his builders bum!)

ive been paid ... but twice ... nervous x

Oops - your payroll department sounds just as good as mine!

I agree with keeping finances seperate - but both should be paying a proportionate (sp?) amount to the household, and having similar amounts left over for spends, iykwim?

I did the joint finances with my ex, all wages went into one account, and bills came out of one account, and what was left was ours. But he always seemed to spend a huge amount more, and i'd feel guilty for spending anything and felt like I had to ask permission. Never again! :p

*sigh* Rhys wasn't very generous with his blood this morning :( It was a different nurse to the usual (irritating) one. This one was really nice but said she would only have one go before referring us up to the ward for a doctor to do it (though in our experience they're worse than the nurses!). The one attempt she did make didn't work well - got the vein but it just didn't want to bleed - so we got the option of going up to the ward then or back another time. Rhys hadn't had brekkie (milk but no brekkie) so we chose to go back tomorrow morning instead, 9am before the docs start their rounds  I asked, but there's nothing we can do to improve things, his veins are just trashed from overuse :(

He he - I won't tell him. (If you go halves with me!) :p

OH is out being a real policeman this week - let loose on the streets.

I agree, finders keepers. Unless you've seen who just lost it iykwim?

ETA: Have you got another bank account, put the extra in there earning interest until they ask for it back. That's what i'd do anyway.

ETA again: Hugs for Rhys and :( for having to go back.
